C&C , RA, StarCraft and many more are true RTS , this is something in the midlle and IMO is not true RTS. I got this impression that there is no freedom on how to atack and from what direction. IMO this would be better if it was turn based gameplay type.
I hope you'll understan what I mean , it's hard to expres you're thoughts in other language :)

Yeah you can play the usual way with a controller too.

That could take a while to get used to. Hmmm I would say this is a type of RTS I have not seen before. To me I think either Civ, AoE or Total War. This however, does look amazing fun and detailed.

Civ isn't RTS. Check out Sins of a Solar Empire for something else a little different too.. neat game.

I'd much rather play RTS from a classic top overview aswell, I don't like this 1st person stuff.. The voice command system is pretty cool though.. Although again, I can click faster then I can talk, so it's more of a gimmick then really a gameplay improvement I think, but still cool..

Call me conservative, but I prefer the oldschool RTS games on my PC, games like Starcraft, Red Alert, and Company of Heroes etc.. I just can't see myself playing RTS seriously on a console with a controller, even more so then FPS games..

Appaerntly it's quicker to use the voice command.

Anyhow, looking good, and my first command will be:

Kill everything that moves.

That just makes me want a new Full Spectrum Warrior.

I have to agree with you. I'd love a new FSW on the new hardware. Didn't Pandemic make them? They're currently with EA and the IP is with THQ :(

if they improve the graphics (too much aliasing, but acceptable detail for large scale maps) this looks good anyway

its different... its not made to replace the overhead point and click pc rts's its a new style of game... its a strategy fourth person shooter ;)

Am I the only one getting 6.0KB/s downloads? Normally I get it from OpenX360, but since they seem to be down, I'm trying to download from the local servers and getting terrible results. Has it always been like this?

The server is slow I presume. In other words, its getting hammered.
