YOUR Top 10 Firefox Add-ons

I am in the process of more fully migrating to Firefox due to an amazing academic add-on (Zotero, a bibliography and note taking application intended for academic writers). Up to this time I haven't customized FF much at all and am pretty amazed at the number of extensions users have created.

So, to properly christen my FF I need some more plug-ins. I don't have 10 hours to browse and test add-ons so could everyone recommend their favorites?

Ten? I only use three.

Number one would be CookieCuller. Basically it gives you a cookie whitelist,
It works on FF load though, and you would want to disable cookie deletion in FF's options so that it would work right (obviously).
edit
When I say "on FF load" i mean it deletes unwanted cookies on load instead of close.
/edit

I don't know why the big browsers don't implement whitelists natively.

Number two is IE View Lite. It puts an (optional) icon for your toolbar, or line in your right click menu to open the page you are on in Internet Explorer.
It's quite handy.

Number three would bee Flashblock, for viewing all those goddam flash ridden sites like Gamespot. It replaces flash content with a convenient little button so just incase it's something you want to see.

Anyway, that's all I use, aside from FF's Dom inspector.

I'm with Plumb, ten seems excessive.

I'd say my number one add-on would have to be the browse images. It adds a toolbar, which I don't use, because the most important functions are also added in a small button that resides in the lower right hand corner of the screen. It's a great little tool.. for example, here on gamersyde if I go to a picture gallery I can click that little bugger and go to, "open all images in current tab" and it does.. well exactly what it says. Very handy.

The bugmenot add-on is pretty handy too, as with www.bugmenot.com, it provides you with a database of usernames and passwords for popular sites that require registration but shouldn't. Like for example The New York Times. If I go to the website and simply right click on the login field, an option is added to the pull down menu, "login using bugmenot," which will attempt to log in to the site using information from their website. Also handy.

Cookiesafe is pretty nice, which sounds pretty simular to CookieCuller, and also adds a button that sits in the lower right next to my browseimages button. This one is pretty self explanatory.

I have some others installed that I don't really use as much, like FlashGot and DownloadThemAll (they may be interfering with each other), AutoFill Forms, MediaPlayer Connectivity (which is useful, but I haven't really needed it lately--it adds a function that lets you launch streaming videos directly in WMP), SpiderZilla, Digger, and Ad-Block Plus.. which while disabled currently is a must have imo..

I love FireFox's expandability. It's the main reason I use the browser today. I'm a bit of an Opera fan too, which comes with all of the functions you could ever ask for right out of the box, and is also very customizable.. but FireFox just seems to work better.

Wow, shame on you all, shame!!!!!!!!!

How come no one has mentioned Stumble Upon? Best add on EVER IMO. I also use an add on that when visiting google and searching for images, you can just click a button and it shows all the images in a museum style kind of view, and you can scroll sideways and just go through those pages without noticing.

I forgot the name, but it's a cool one to use, no need to be clicking next over and over when searching for the right pic.

But yeah, Stumble Upon is the most entertaining, and educative tool I have used for quite a while. Firefox rocks :D

I'm joking, don't be upset.
I wasn't using my usual computer so that is why I didn't check. But anyways, the program is called PicLens, it is a cool program, I just wish it worked with more sites (for example gamersyde)

Check out the "browse images" add-on, I put it to use on this site all the time, and it's pretty damn convenient. Thanks btw.. I'll definitely check this one out.

The toolbar adds too much clutter, but you can access the most important functions from the button it adds to the status bar on the bottom. It's great to just be able to load up an entire gamersyde gallery in a single tab.
