2008-02-08 02:27:11 ATI's X1900 was ~9x as fast as the fastest Intel chip at the time in certain physics tasks, so it would not be surprising. DX11 will be adding compute threads for the purpose of further generalizing the resource. --- |

2008-02-09 12:23:45 Still crazy fast. I actually skipped the whole X-series and all that stuff. I bought 9800pro and was perfectly happy with it :D then had to replace it with 6600GT. I had some consoles too and now that I bought new PC I read quite much about different technologies and I am interested to see what happens with this merge. Never really liked the idea of different card doing physic calculations. There is already enough stuff to buy when getting a new gaming PC. --- |
