first Reviews of Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 are out. TeamXBox gave it a whooping 6.7 . . ... I will still buy it though ;)

Not suprised and also still probably going to pick it up. The first one sucks too..sorta a Team Ninja fan though and I want to have all of their Xbox/360 games in my collection. Plus, it's good fan service..would be even better if it were actually a good game though.

I was sorta expecting this one to be better than the original DOAX though. For a variety of reasons..heh

Then why care about what the reviews say? People are embarrassed enough to admit they liked the first one, it doesn't surprise me no one is willing to give the 2nd one good comments.

Well if it is really as frustrating as some reviewers suggest then that truly would defeat the purpose of the game. The fact that people are still complaining about the camera makes me wonder though, because I never really had a problem with it. 4/10 is really low though isn't it?

I'll probably trade a few things in for it so you can check it out later this week. Worst case scenario I use it as a trade-in later.

The first game got some really bad reviews as well so I don't see the problem, if you enjoyed the first one(I did as well) then you will more than likely enjoy the second.

Teamxbox's review should actually be 7.4, as Innovation shouldn't even be in the overal score, nobody was expecting this game to innovate.... where they ?

So by removing innovation from the score you end up with 7.4 which isn't a bad score.

I'm dissapointed none of the reviewers got more into detail about the new Casino look. Itagaki promised to make some improvements, but it isn't mentioned . ... at least some screens would be nice. .. .. gotta check ;)

I am buying this game no matter what happens . . ... hehehe

Well, it is getting WORSE reviews than the original--but I can't say I'm suprised personally. I would imagine that if you enjoyed the first one (which wasn't a very good "game") that this one won't be much different. I know I'm getting it..heh

Oh i missed that, but then why would they break the score up, if not for the purpose of an average.

I look at what they are giving the game based of graphics, gameplay, etc etc and it doesn't seem to look so bad to me.

It's not like anyone was expecting this game to be AAA.

Actually I played the shit out of the volleyball in the first one. I thought it was a very good game and I'm not afraid to say so.

BTW I saw this game at EB today so it seems it's out. Got Pinata instead though.

I don't know why they all rate the game lower than before, it has more features, better graphics, nicer "landscapes" (still no Venus Hill though ;))

gamestats still has listed only 2 reviews so far, so I had to update it myself . ....

Having played beach spikers, I disagree. Plus, that's sort of like saying, "if you want to play _____ sport, you shouldn't do it on a computer."--plenty of people like sports games. I'm not a big fan of the genre--but most recently I was pretty fond of what little Table Tennis I played. Though I do enjoy the real game as well.

Ok I got it.. As a fan of the first, I'm totally wow'd by how much this game sucks so far. However, I am really tired right now and can't play it much so when I actually get into it I'll write up my thoughts.

So far the framerate doesn't seem as smooth as the first, graphics aren't all that, it has annoying loading for vendor items, and for some ungodly reason back + pass sets the ball to the backcourt every time and your AI teammate hits the ball into the net EVERY time. In the first game I always hit back and pass to set, now it makes it almost impossible for me to win lol.

Eh alright.. If you liked the first one, rent it. They made a lot of changes for the worst, and a few for the better. The volleyball is harder, but maybe in the long run that will be better. I played through 1 entire run with hitomi and didn't recieve one suit from either zack or the other girls. I then started another run w/ kokoro (my teammate from the previous time) and noticed only one of the suites I gave her actually stayed in her inventory. This really pissed me off until I realized that they put the ones they don't like so much in their collection, which you can bring back out when you play.

The more I play, the more I'm enjoying it but I wouldn't recommend anyone buying it unless you find a deal on it.
