2007-03-14 19:23:18 Colin Mcrae dirty preview http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?i... Seriously, those shockingly realistic screenshots are absolutely true to the in-game graphics. We seen it and played it. The scenic detail in Colin McRae: Dirt is astonishing. Playing it on a sweet 40-inch HD TV, we could see every blade of grass in the thick forestry that lines the dirt tracks as we raced along. When you drive on the grass you can see it bend as it folds down underneath your car. Look behind you and you'll see the grass remain compressed as you drive away. It's not that there's never been nice grass in games before, it's the sheer amount of it that's impressive. The grass is so thick it forms a gorgeous furry texture that covers the banks. --- |

2007-03-14 19:57:10 30 fps is fine with me as long as it does not chug along i found PGR 3 fine. Cant wait to see this in action and some good signs from the review mainly on graphics it certainly looks superb in screens. Liked the bit where he bent the metal barrier and could be a potential hazard the damage sounds very realistic from that report also. :) |

2007-03-14 20:20:56 It all comes down to the what kind of sense of speed the game gives you. I get a pretty good sense of speed from PGR3 and F1 and they are 30fps, but GTHD at 60 I get almost no sense of speed what so ever, just seems to plod along slowly. If they get the sense of speed down then 30fps shouldn't matter much. |

2007-03-14 21:41:11 Rally on the TV looks pretty damn fast at 25fps, as long as the controls are tight it will be fine. |

DIRT Looks good, but gameplay will be the question. Also, while rally games are cool it seems there is a general lack of Motorstorm like rally games (the PGRs of the rally world). Could we get some more of these? --- |

People compared Rallisport Challenge and Colin McRae all the time, and since a Sega Rally hasn't been released in years, then how is it that they can't be compared. No one has played a build of Sega Rally. There is no knowing yet if it is going to be more realistic or not. |
