2007-06-09 22:08:52 600 layers?! Sheebus. Looks great. You would think that Turn 10 would've gotten permission to put a Warthog and a Ghost in the game. Bet it's being saved for DLC ;). --- |

2007-06-09 22:54:53 One cool tip I learned... I was wanting to build a symmetrical design, and had it built with all my layers and had no way of mirroring the one side... |

2007-06-10 02:39:11 Wow, I tried doing something outside of simple shapes and I just can't do it. It's really really hard for me to think in layers and not patient enough when all I can think about is "I wish we could import from photoshop".........So nice jobs guys. |

2007-06-10 03:57:10 Wow.. awesome start Freniger! Can't wait to see that finished. I'd buy that off the auction block for sure :) |

2007-06-10 12:45:54 How do you guys do these since you can't import images from a memory stick or PC? --- |
| anm8rjp Since 2231 Days |
2007-06-10 13:36:42 You have to build them from scratch by moving, scaling, coloring, layering the rudimentary shapes in forza 2. |

2007-06-10 14:34:50 Well, the fact that you can't import images means that there's SOOO much more incentive to actually create a paint job in the first place. If you have a great, unique paint job then that's actually something to be proud of. You've not just googled for a snazzy pic and slapped it on there. --- |

2007-06-10 15:03:12 As Simon said, if you could import images there would be no incentive to even buy a car on the auction house. I think having it this way allows people, like a lot of you guys on this forum, to show of their mad skills. |

2007-06-10 15:27:11 I disagree -- you can have the best of both worlds. --- |

2007-06-10 15:47:58 In that respect would you allow cars with imported pictures to be sold on the auction house ? If so would they have to be labeled as such ? In my opinion that is the only way that this could work. If there was no distinction between hand made designs and imported pictures, I personally wouldnt put my money anywhere near the auction house. |

2007-06-10 16:06:00 And those who just want a cool car in 5 minutes and know they have crap art skills can still get something cool out of the game. In a MMORPG, getting insane items is part of playing a complete boatload.. if you got those items at the start just to be "newbie friendly" I doubt there'd be much reward in presevering. Sure, there's a fine line between being pompous and enjoying a challenge, but that's true of any game mechanic in any game - and that's just what this has become; a game mechanic. Besides, anyone can tell you it's a breeze to get a cool design going even if you've got "crap art skills". You won't make that MGS design maybe, but you can get a plenty cool looking car nontheless, one that's absolutely unique to only you. (This discussion should prolly continue in the Forza Motorsport 2 thread so that images here are easily browsable like intended.) --- |

2007-06-10 19:33:18 SimonM7, you do know that you can save that car's paintjob and put it to every car if you wish? Just select everyone of them and save them. Then you can take them to another car. Resize, spin and reposition if you want :P |
