By the way some of you have been touting this game as the be-all-end-all, I thought I'd give it a shot and find myself pleasantly surprised. I was so wrong.

The graphics do look great for what they are while you are running around the level, but the "arenas" you fight in are horribly bland. The artistic design behind some of the characters and monsters is pretty bad as well. Simplicity seems to be the only consistent element. I mean, those bear trap gnome things, the pink, coiled dragon with the vagina-mouth, and that Szabo guy and his minions were just so random and ridiculous. The spell effects weren't all that spectacular either (especially the water ones).

The writing was also pretty bad. I'm not sure if something was lost in translation, but the dialogue read like something a kid in grade 3 wrote. Not that it matters since I won't be playing it, but please tell me that it will be released with the original Japanese voices and english subs.

I do dig the overall look though. If the game played more like Zelda:TW(which had really bad writing and voice-acting as well) and had tighter character design, I'd definitely give it a second look.

wow this game is really good......i fought it was crap but after playing it the gameplay is good and the animations are fantastic

I thought it was excellent. I'm only just getting into jRPG really, but this battle system really clicked for me, the way you line up attacks and sort of measure how much you wanna charge them and time it with the other characters.

There's some crazy tearing going on but I absolutely LOVE the funky design. The music is much better than the samples we got early too.

Omg.... chose nene's fortress and got to top floor and wow... the time ran out right as I was fighting nene (atleast I think it did...) what a brutal way to end a demo especially after what Nene did to us this game is hot, but the more I listen to the talking the more I'm convinced japanese voices are the way to go.

Jiro's voice is fine I think the rest I don't think so at all. Wow crazy game I was worried the slowdown at times would affect my enjoyment, but it didn't at all.

I had 19 minutes left when I was fighting Nene and demo ended. I guess they don't want to show us what happens :(

Fighting system was great. I liked how I can charge the characters to do their moves when I want. Really helpful when using cure spells.
