The combat isn't great and the game gets old fast for what I played. Love it or hate it I suppose. I didn't like Prince of Persia all that much, so I'm not surprised I do not like this game.

lmao. well she cant be, cos shes aactually really sat right here with MEi never liked prince oif perisa either, neither do i like the look of the combat for this game. i also felt a bit frustrated while watching the videos, it looks a good game, but it looks like a frustrating game.one that when you die on it you choose not to restart.

think i might cancel my preorder, 40£ is alot of money after all
and ive just bought lego starwars and COD 4 so im sure il be fine minus assassins creed, i'll rent it on a rainy day

im a huge fan of the POP series so im hoping im gonna love this too. the game does seem to be a bit of a mermite game tho. i think i'll like it, nothing so far has made me think "omg i dont want to buy it becasue of that". even the combat looks great to me. it may not be realistic, but then what game is.

It seems like it is an either love it or hate it thing. To me it looked repetitious, and IT IS. Whether you enjoy that or not is another thing. I certainly can't stand it.

Yup, and IGN Autralia gave it a 8.7, wich leads me to think that this game is a love or hate.
On the other hand I think that IGN has been a bit pissed off for the reviews embargo since the always want to be the first to release the online reviews.
I am still waiting for EDGE's review anyway.
Anyway lower marks for the game won't make me cancel my Limited Edition Pre-Order :P

Well based on everything edge normally complains about in terms of innovation and something new or different, AC should get no less than a 9 based on their previous review track record and what they usually complain about.

this game might be a bit repetitive as some reviewers seem to be pointing out, but its still miles (or should i say, kilometers) away in terms of innovation comparing to lots of the boring-same-old-crap which we've been getting lately, to which everybody's throwing 9s 9.5s 10s if u know what i mean.

still have to play it though to get my final impression.

I have to say I could feel this. I dunno how, but I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm after a while because I couldn't think of anything about it that would be all that awesome to experience.

The climbing is mostly automatic, which means you never get that dizzying sense of accomplishment that's prevailent in Sands of Time, and really.. I'm not sure the killing and crowd bits can hold my attention for long.

Sands of Time I still consider to be an absolute masterpiece, and I see why this HAD to do it - but ultimately it's stripped itself of everything that I loved in PoP. Again, I know that this was shooting for something different, but regardless of whether it can justify it, it's still lost a lot of its appeal for me.

My wait begins for Ghost of the Past.
