Bought it today and played it for 5 hours straight, what joy. It has moments of pure gaming class and it is a whole lot of fun.

I have to say that it was better then I was expecting which is a testament to the genius that be Nintendo.

I hogged up the Kiosk at my local GS for about 30mins playing the game, which was all kinds of fun. Oh yeah, and I hate you.Don't think I forgot about you either, Simon...and now also Phaethon!

I got it with Crysis yesterday, and I've gotten to 2nd galaxy so far. Really liking, and I'm very impressed by the graphics. Not to mention unlike other Wii games, it matches perfectly to my 1080p LCD. Its hard to believe its 480p.

Bought and played the game yesterday for a couple of hours.....and one of the best mario ever.

And indeed the music is so good it gives me shivers.

That's true. :(

But, well.. few things actually DO it. A lot of things make me wanna cry, you know give me that feeling of joy you can't express any other way than with tears of said joy, but few of those actually make it so. It happened with Loco Roco (which is ultimately a pretty rubbish game when all is said) and it happened earlier today on that Space Junk level in Mario Galaxy.

The orchestrated music is just too damn much for me, that's what gets me over the edge proper. I mean the game is FAANTASSSTIIIIC, but it's the music that turns me into a small girl.

Thank god it goes back to the hub world between planetary systems, or I'd never be able to stop playing.

So, how far are people ? Im 24 stars in and I haven't been bored a single moment. The game stays fresh no matter what you are doing. It really is deserving of its scores and praise.

40 stars here and it never lets up. Like I said earlier, thank god it takes a break and goes to the hub world so you can MAX PAYNE DIVE AWAY FROM THE TV and wrestle yourself to bed or to eat.

So uh, I use a lot of big words when I talk about games. I mean I use them sparingly so they don't lose meaning, but I'm no stranger to "best X of X" and "most X of any X" et cetera.

One word - or words, or phrase - I never use is "must have".



I think Mario Galaxy is a must have.

Actually, I wrote a moon sized post about how it's such an injustice that not everyone can just sit down and play it right this second, but ultimately it was just a bunch of babble that the ones that don't already have it wouldn't bother reading anyway.

I fully agree, there is no excuse not to run out and get a Wii just to be able to play Mario Galaxy. In fact, it should be as natural as learning to walk or hitting puberty.

I have to emphasise that I don't think there's a single gamer out there that wouldn't enjoy this game to absolute bits. Now people might say that about loads of games they like but I wouldn't. Metroid Prime is the best game I have ever played, but I don't pretend like everyone will like it.

Mario Galaxy is different, it's that game. I truly believe it's impossible not to like.

But there I go again with the babble. It's quite simply a must have. Heavy on the must.

I have never played a game that is so diverse.
It's a sort of cross between a Ladyboy and a packet of Revels.
You never know what your going to get.
