But I will just wait and see how the gameplay plays out to be interested.
The art is like a typical final fantasy art so I am not surprised.
What makes me decide to buy it, is the gameplay system.
I have to see it to decide, simpleas that.

I MIGHT get them if the turned based combat is fun, but thats like a small chance.
Gameplay video is crucial for me, because I know the CG is awesome

Since 7506 DaysI like change. but they way they changed the combat in FF12 was simply aweful! and I simply hated it. Have you played FF12 by the way ? try it on PS3 (I think it's Backwards compatible) and then see for yourself if you'll like that combat - you never know, you might end up hating it.
Oh, and I liked the combat in Eternal sonata, a bit of a masher but loved it nontheless simply because that was another type of combat which belonged to that type of game.

Since 7442 DaysArtwise, it looks great, although everything we have seen is CG, I am willing to follow the game, however I wont get excited over it considering its not my type of genre.
I ask again...didn't they say Versus was going to be some sort of a real time gameplay or was it the other one....or am I completely wrong.

Since 7506 DaysFF13 "IS" the most important one anyway! that Demo they will be releasing this year (if that's official yet) will be my judgement call for the combat. Until then, I'll just drool over the Awesome Art, the perfectly executed CG and the great music! :D Like I said before, these last three factors could very well make me buy the game regardless of the combat especially if the story shines through.

I can say though that from scans and stuff I so far find the characters of Versus more appealing, but I assume that's because unlike the main series of Final Fantasy, the protagonist is the most important in Versus. In the main series, the character you play as is pretty neutral in every sense of the word, from design to his/her demeanor, and that's probably why the woman in the FF13 trailer is rather unremarkable.
Supporting cast is where it's at, and I expect it to deliver.

Since 7459 DaysI do look forward to seeing what they do with both battle engines, I don't think either of them will be tradition turn based, from what I understand FF13 uses a queing system, it could end up playing more like an SRPG, where you slow time down (maybe with a shoulder button or something) select your attacks and then it plays out in a cinematic style battle, at least thats what the E3 concept trailer hints at.
FFXII Versus will probably be a cross between KH and FF7:CC.
