Yeah, I'm actually really really interested in Fable 2 aswell now. I think the low(er) key hype machine has really worked in its favour. Now it just comes along, almost effortlessly showing off really nice fun features. It's also (TO ME..!!) BY FAR one of the most appealing looking western games in absolute yonks. I loved the art direction in Fable 1 aswell, but it was let down a little by its very narrow, linear paths. Here.. wow!

I just hope there's a meaty main quest in it. I think RPGs should let you ASSUME that there's stuff to do at least for 25+ hours.

...it's so abstract that I even talk about RPGs. A year ago I would've laughed in my own face. :D

Definitely!

I want to see Wardevil and Project Offset!
But they will most likely not show up...I mean Wardevil, c'mon, they need to show something cool soon.

Cool man, i'll check it out!

Did anyone else catch the Lord of the Rings: Conquest demonstration on IGN? Looked sweeeeeeet! It's definitely shaping up to be the best ever Lord of the Rings game.

You mean Gears of War 2?

I am buying it only because of its offline mode, then well, I will return it.

I just watched the Gears of War 2 stage demo on Gamespot with commentary from Cliffy B. I'm sorry if I sound naive or whatever, but Gears 2 is a shoe-in for GOTY. Also people may dislike him and think he's OTT and stuff, but I think Cliffy B is brilliant. Honestly, I can't help but respect the guy.

Nothing beats the movies or books for sure, but LOTR: Conquest looked very interesting indeed. It's a must buy for me!

I like Jaffe more, reminds me of a american Itagaki :P
Arrogant but great game designer in the genre they are in which happens to be my favorite, action/adventure hack and slash.

And yep, nothing beats the movies (haven't read the books but I got the first one laying around here somewhere, to lazy to read it).

The books are an incredible read but I actually prefer the movies!

The reason LOTR: Conquest is near the top of my list is simply because:

a) I love Lord of the Rings more than any other fantasy setting;
and b) I loved both Battlefronts and this is going to be the 'spiritual successor' to those games.

I think E3 may have convinced me to sell my Wii and cash in on the discounted 360

Then again I feel like all 3 companies didn't make a major effort at this E3 on purpose

Same as the films: Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King. There's also The Hobbit, which is a very good read and The Silmarillion. The Hobbit and Silmarillion occur before the events in the Lord of the rings.

The Silmarillion isn't like a novel though, it's more like a chronicle of the LOTR universe, telling all its mythology. So I suggest you not to read that unless you're REALLY into LOTR, otherwise it'll bore you to death.

Definitely. Even as a LOTR fanatic, I was struggling to read it. In fact, i'm not sure I actually ever finished it. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you want a much better background knowledge on Middle-Earth. In terms of pure reading value, it isn't great.

It gets better. 16 player online, with modes such as one player being Frodo and the rest being Ringwraiths trying to find him and players teaming up to take down the Balrog! You get to play as evil once you've completed the good campaign and conquor Middle-Earth, like burning down the Shire and killing all the heroes like Aragorn and Gandalf.

Seriously, there's so much stuff going on in this game that it is one of my most wanted games this year. Throw in 4 player co-op online and it's a must buy for me.

About Gamersyde

Gamersyde is a commercial multiplatform web portal based in Europe, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month from all over the world. We cover both handheld and video games platforms and the site has grown into one of the biggest gaming sites in the continent. We are able to offer fast news delivery and HD content from the upcoming games, and one of the greatest and friendliest gaming communities in the world. The HD content we provide always respects the original resolution and framerate of the games we capture, making Gamersyde the one and only place to get 1080p/4K/60fps videos with high bitrate. At a time when Youtube's subpar video compression has become the norm for most people on the Internet, we refuse to give up quality without a fight. We now also produce HDR videos, which can only be enjoyed by those who own compatible televisions. The content we produce is obviously not free of use should you want to upload our videos on your own website or YouTube channel.
