where are all the reviews??

play.com have it available right now to buy, and theres a few user reviews on there

but i dont dare buy it though until i see at least a few official reviews

im just curious as to why theres no reviews yet its available to buy. i thought maybe it would be quite a big title

well I bought the Special Edition y'day and it's really a mixed bag. The graphics are quite good, almost no tearing and quite smooth. But you can clearly see that Eden Games has had no experience with these type of games before, although they are trying very hard.

The controls just don't feel right, in fact, these are the worst controls I've played in a survival horror game ever (incl. RE1). You can switch to 1st person but it doesnt make it much better, let alone the fact that you cannot perform all actions in 1st person (WTF?). Much too complicated.

AND the camera is absolutely lousy, wobbles most of the time and perspectives change so often that you loose orientation sometimes. Apart from that it seems to be a good game, but having MGS4 around I will continue AitD after I've finished Snake's adventure.

SE Content is nice though, very good artbook with a whooping 70 pages ;)

7/10 is bad in my mind. even alot of games that get 8 seem pretty average to me. I guess im spoiled...or maybe just not interested in every game that comes out. sucks tho...i thought this was gonna end up being a sweet game.

Yeah I agree, It would be nice if everyone were to review their games without giving a score, that way, they can at least bother to write a decent review. Nowadays, very few sites/Mags retain credibility.

I finished 2 "level".
Game is crap(((

This is like fahrenheit(indigo phropercy) but wit realtime controls and it is VERY bad and u cant do thing quickly. Also, combat is very bad and there are bugs everywere, there is no free in the levels. there are NO LEVEL - dev lock u in 1-2 rooms and u can't do enythink exept that 1 scripted thing.
all scripted and u control char from point to point and see scripted event and die coz
1) stupid bug with phisics
2) u move not so quickly as game want it.

I replay episode with car when building falling and earthquace everywhere ~ 20 times, coz (again)
1) stupid bug with phisics(car move like motorscooter and stuck in 1 millimeter height projection and there many cutscenese with car when u jump in air and if u move not exactly forward u can stuck in the air in the cutscen and then u must load previos save, coz there nothin else u can do! FUCK ATARI!)
2) u move not so quickly as game want it. Fuck! I hate this moments! I die befour I can understand what the fuck is happining

now I am in the 3 "level"
there are vampire creatures in the park and again all scripted - u can go where u want - or u will be killed by vampire bats(like in GeoW)
u must go quickly to the red point in the map (the toilet) and door will closed and u will be there forever if u dont use medicine there! Stupid! U even cant open that bloody door! All scripted!

and this is always in game - game always lock u in 1-2 rooms and u must do exactly that thing which dev want u to do - NO thinking, NO other ways, and if u dont do just THIS thing - u will die or be in thar room forever. There are no exploration((((

and music is one of the greatest video game scores I ever heard. Simply AMAZING! I will buy OST in my music collection.

look my first post in this thread
control system is bad, 3rd person view is almost useless and uncomfortable. But combat is real nightmare. It use right analog to hit enemy with cold weapon and there are only 2 punch. there are no combos. And roling right analog is not comfortable, coz if u dont do it quickly - in 80% of case Edvard just rol the weapon, not hit the enemy

1st person controls with guns is ok

I hate inventory - u must ror analog very-very slow coz u can miss and shose other thing and I hate it coz u alvays must combine item and hi do it realtime! While I f*ck with inventory enemies hit me(((

this is really CHEAP game design

Or maybe it's possible the game actually DOES have flaws.
