Screens of the Bear! Looks ridiculous if you ask me but what a JRPG without a bit of weirdness right ? :D

Also looks like the bear is a summoneanble creature!

I like the look of this game after seeing that gameplay vid it reminds me of Zelda, however, While I do really like the look of the gameplay, the graphics are way below avg which is a bit of a let down but to be honest, I've stopped expecting much from JRPGs in terms of graphics as they all seem to look dated apart from LR/BD and i suppose, Lost Odyssey (Just about).

I do indeed agree with you. JRPGs havent won any graphical praise in my books. I think the best looking game out of the ones that were released has to be Lost Odyssey. I think FF13 will definately raise the bar and I hope Mistwalker is cooking something up!

Nope, BD is much better graphically that LO.

But yea the bear looks stupid, I don't care too much about graphics to be honest, story and gamplay have always been more important.

I think it looks better graphically than people are giving it credit for. Especially when you're looking at it running on an HDTV.

The art though, especially on the characters and in some of the environments is incredible. I think this is a very attractive game visually.

I agree, although LO does look good, its textures look still look really dated, although not half as bad as IU. BD actually fits in nicely with current generation games, It has fairly hires textures and uses quite a few of the modern bells and whistles such as HDR and DoF.

IU graphics does look good to me. There are some parts that shine (like the outdoors part) and there are some that doesn't. Right now the best looking next generation JRPG is Blue Dragon. People can harp about kiddie characters all they want but BD is the true next gen JRPG when it comes to graphics.

The artstyle of BD is what made me go :(. But I do agree in other respects. But the screen tearing ruined it for me as well.

I'm not particular about tearing, stuttering or other nuances unless it happens all the time and makes the game absolutely unplayable. I always tend to consider the overall package and not nitpick the smaller ones like most reviews do these days. Game review scores (for the XBOX 360 titles) get one whole point deducted sometimes out of little nuances. Just check out how Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey fared in the reviews.

I don't care if I'm not being 'critical' enough, I'm playing to enjoy the game and make the most out of my money without trying to bring it down.

Well I guessing if there were kiosks we would have seen something from blim/snoopers by now.

Although they did say they have a lot they couldn't upload due to connection speed, so lets hope :D

I'm assuming Square must've prevented recording or something because it would probably make sense as to why no other site has a video of the game running at E3.

There were reports that the there were scenes when up 12 or even 17 characters are on screen involved in a battle at once? There was heavy slowdown reported in such instances, but there were also reports of slowdowns in less packed situations.

Although, you can tell from last trailer that Tri-Ace is definitely improving on the framerate so I have high hopes that they'll lock it down by September. The game is pretty damn ambitious.

When you say 12 characters I hope you mean allied and enemy characters on screen 6 of each ?, it would seem a bit stupid to have 12 allied characters on screen at once, what is the point in that.

If slow down is that bad at this stage I am starting to get worried, hopefully its an old build or something.

E3 trailer seems to have improved framerate, at least comparing to the previous one. The game is out in less than two months and they aren't showing it? Crazy.

I noticed there is 2 greyed out coming soon videos on the offical website, any one think the music on the offical site reminds them of Soul Caliber :P

Nah there are scenes in this game with 17 allied on screen at once. I know i read it somewhere.

Battles clearly get pretty crazy. You only control a single 4 man party though. There are even situations where three 4 man parties are moving independently to achieve a common goal or something to that effect.

Check some articles on it you'll find it. I'd link, but busy currently.
