Is the game actually released tomorrow? Because I happen to be popping into town, so may indeed pick it up.

Well I've been playing this game for the last day and night and I must say it's FUCKING awesome... Best RPG in a while for me....
A small tip for all you people that get the DLC with their version... I would recommend doing those missions as early in the game as possible because;

1. The quest are kinda nice
2. You get some cool loot/abilities
3. The new party member you can pick up is probably the best Tank in the game. (And he's definitely a tribute to HK-47 from KOTOR)

Oh man this game is just beautiful and the voice acting is superb. I'm trying out a human warrior and a human mage right now, trying to get a feel of which I prefer, I'll probably end up rolling an elf rogue as well.

Definitely preferring magic to melee, which is odd for me because I'm usually a slice and dice kinda guy. I'll go pick up the stone golem to tank for me ASAP.

Yeah you're gonna need him as a tank, he's great!

The patch has certainly made things a little easier going I've found, possibly too easy :\

EDIT - Yeah they bumped up party members. Hopefully it evens out later.
* Slightly increased attack, defense, and damage scores for all party
members at Normal difficulty

I hear this game is really hard. I am kinda scared to play it on normal.

Patch it and you'll be fine, before I was having to drop pots in every encounter over 3 white mobs but now they seem to handle it a lot better. Just make sure you have each party members tactics correct for their role.

I think you can change the difficulty in mid game.

So the Mage Origins story does not finish until you get to leave the tower right?, i want to wait until its completed before i play through both DLC's.

You can't anyway. The DLC quest lines open up after you make the first proper camp with your party.

One more piece of advice for people who want to play the game as a dwarf noble or commoner;

Don't activate your dlc items before finishing the origin story because at one point you lose your gear...

Just put in a 10hr session, such an engrossing game, i have installed the game to disc like DC suggested and it plays so smooth, sometimes the textures are not great but in no way is it enough to plull me out of the story experience, bravo Bioware yet again.

First off, i'm loving it!! And i can already tell that when i eventually finish this game i will be playing it again as an Elf Mage then Dwarf Warrior, i am currently going through the Human Mage Origin story.

I am just now getting into the meat of the story (after deciding to do both DLC quest first) i think i'm about 70% through the Redcliff quest after deciding to tackle that first on my list of Blight quest to get through, and i'm guessing there will be even more main plot things to do after the Blight quest are completed?. I am currently at lvl10 and so far the story has been very good with a few twist i did not see coming, plus there have been decisions i have made that i know will come back to bite me in the ass later in the game, i am loving this old school feel combat so much and i never thought i would be using the combat tactics slots/rules functions as much as i have been, i have created a few custom rules for my squad characters and myself that have come in very handy in tough battle situations, the only negative for me is the fact that the main character is not voiced and the graphics are not top notch, but the quality of the game and the voice acting off the npc's more than make up for it, i have a feeling i have just scratched the surface of the main story and cant wait to continue over the next few weeks :) (Although i'll take a break from tomorrow as it’s all about MW2!!)

I also feel that your character not actually speaking was a big error. Heck, that's part of why Mass Effect is so awesome: you feel as though you're an integral part of the story.

I actually feel the contrary. On ME i felt like watching a movie, just helping Commander Shepard out.

And let's not forget: 6 origins, 3 races, and male female for each race, would be hell voice all this. And would be weird, have all male humans have the same voice, like a Mage, and warrior have the same voice :)

On DA i feel like im part of the universe, i can voice my character the way i want. Just diffrent tastes i guess, i still like ME though, but it's just a different kind of RPG.

Anyway i'm loving the game. Played all weekend, it's just great almost 25 hours played. And after all the negative media about the graphics i don't find them too bad, even pretty good looking sometimes (PC version of course). And Isomettric view is a must for some fights, pretty challenging.

Best RPG in a very very long time i've played. And when good mods start rolling out = Awesome.

You don't speak in KOTOR and I never once felt uninvolved.

I like how the game takes screenshots when something happens in the story or when you get achievements.

That's the only thing that botheres me about DA. The game is filled with dynamic voice acting, that Bioware didn't want to voice the main character is disappointing. I mean here you have Alister and Morrigan having these great (and hilarious) conversations and my exchanges are all silent. And Morrigan keeps me in stitches.

Morrigan- "And so now we have a dog, and Alistair is STILL the stupidest member of the party"
