Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Since 6092 DaysIs it too traditional for your tastes? Or too hard to get into? Please explain. I think it's fun as hell despite its painfully obvious flaws.
As for DoA 4, I agree completely. What a pathetic attempt at a fighting game... DoA games were never really good, but the fourth one was 100% awful.
Since 7520 DaysSure there is probally a good game there somewhere, but i just cant be arsed to find it.
I think i have stood in poo
Since 6600 DaysDOA4 is the best 3D fighting game around..with more depth to it than any fighting game currently out. You should give it a go.
Since 7600 DaysThe DOA series on a whole prolly shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Virtua Fighter, Tekkan and Soul Calibur though. If you treat DOA as a separate entity, it's a fun, fluid fighting game with increasingly fun characters to play, but hold it up next to the real fighting elite and it pretty much comes apart at the seams.
That said, there's nothing wrong with a fighter that simply is fun to play.

Since 6600 DaysDude if you tried to get away with mindless button mashing in DOA4 against somebody even semi-skilled at the game you'd get countered all the time.
And tekken 5, VF4, do in no way use levels to the advantage of attacks like the DOA series has offered.
Also, rather than typing ill-researched statements like "destructable levels in DoA add absolultely nothing gameplay wise"..maybe you should refresh yourself in the game? And then come back and amuse me by tell me how much i lack knowledge of "how the play" the genre.

But hey, at least it's not Mortal Kombat.
Since 7600 DaysAnd great, actually. It's slightly post VF2 Model 2 hardware fighting with a counter system, it was all sorts of ace in its day.
DOA3 on the other hand is a DRAMATIC drop in quality and tightness from DOA2: Hardcore. It's so incredibly dumbed down you really have to wonder where they had Itagaki tied up when the gameplay tweaks were made and frame windows were widened to encompass coffee breaks.

Since 7577 DaysI don't know. DOA3 introduced Hitomi, so it's automatically better than you're giving it credit for.

How do I qualify as a PS3 fanboy in your eyes? I already told you that I have nothing against its competitor and that I might buy one in the future. Probably you hate the fact that there are people with a PS3 who don't find it necessary to get a 360. That makes you the fanboy in here.
I'd like to put an intellectually rich and entertaining line of text in here but I'm too stupid for stuff like that.

But just for fun, i still want to know what makes DoA the deepest fighter as you seem to have some difficulty answering that.

Since 6600 DaysI dont hate the fact that people dont own a 360.. thats foolish, i dont own shares in microsoft believe it or not. But i wont condemn a game as 100% aweful when i've never owned it. And i will voice MY opinion on when i believe a games good, and when i believe ones bad...regardless of the console its on.
DOA4 is great. I say its the deepest fighter i've played (and i've owned pretty much all the ones that have hit this gen) because depth does not equal difficulty. DOA4 has more depth to me than say Virtua fighter 5 because i STILL see new moves produced in DOA4..after 3yrs and countless hours. ANd i see new moves because environments effect moves, placing effects counters, throws ect, ..and it's actually the least button mashing beat'em up i've personaly played..simply because the counter systems so strong and accessable.
And just cause the games more accessable than VF5 doesnt mean it lacks depth.
Since 7600 DaysAnd noise is pretty much the reason every proper fighting game has abandoned the height/level differences of DOA because it creates an uneven, unpredictable playfield that moves away from skill and calculation, into luck and chance. VF dabbled in it with VF3 and immediately turned around for 4 for this very reason.
I can tell that you're a fairly casual player of fighting games and it's awesome that you enjoy DOA and love it above all other fighting games, that really is enough. You're kinda out of your depth when you start comparing moves "you've seen" in order to prove something here though.

Since 6600 DaysAdding gameplay "layers" leads to creating noise? A fighting game should be unpredicatable.. you shouldnt be able to relay on the same 2 moves you've mastered for a certain character. Explain to me why layed levels leads DOA4 into a game of luck and chance? if you're good at a game you're good at the game. The layed levels are there to add to gameplay... is using them to your advantage skill or luck? It would be like saying knocking somebody out of a "ring" in VF rather than knocking them out in the ring is luck.
Explain to me how you can tell i'm a "casual player" when it comes to fighting games... simply because i have an opinion that differs from your own.
