Sadly there is no GoTy for me this year. Few decent sequels but nothing exciting. Shit year for gaming so Im glad its over.

I look at all these great games and I just didn't play them yet! Wow, for shame. I'll put up my vote before the deadline, I may not even have 5, this is bad dammit, I love games I just haven't had the time :(

So you guys that say that there is nothing noteworthy this year didn't played:

Uncharted 3
Batman AC
Skyrim
Gears of War 3
Deus Ex
TW2
Battlefield 3

And a few others Im forgetting?

I mean I don't actually like all those games but it seems they are indeed great goind by some impressions around.

I have to admit that the list is essentially: the games I played in 2011. And yes you forgot Portal 2 and Forza 4 and Dark Souls and plenty of others. I don't think it was a bad year at all.

Completed only is sorta silly. A game like Skyrim can be played for dozens and dozens of hours without "completion," or can be rushed through in far less.

I say Skyrim is fair game for anyone who has played it. It's unfair for it to get shat on for having too much content. If anyone wants to revise their list and stick it in there who hasn't, let me know.

I haven't touched co-op or SP in BF3. Do I have to strike that too?

The completed rule is there to make sure, games someone played for 5 minutes do not appear on the list but I appreciate a game like Skyrim takes 100+ hours to complete. If you guys want to remove the completed rule I can take it off from the rules. oh and Merry Christmas all :D

It doesn't really take 100 hours to complete, but that's part of the problem. You can spend hundreds of hours on the game prior to completion.. and it doesn't seem fair that someone could literally spend more time on Skyrim than any other game this year and it still wouldn't qualify. Maybe we can just make a special exception for titles like that. Not that I think Skyrim deserves any GOTY awards. They are basically scamming PS3 users, and there are vast issues in terms of design and execution. It's still a good game though and it will appear on my list.

It's sorta unbelievable to me how highly rated Batman is around here. I guess I need to get to that sooner than later. Also.. there were no really big break away new IP's this year, was there? I can think of a few quality titles but no actual hits.

Nooo, I can't vote MMO's ;)

I'll just make my vote when I have played enough to know if I like the game or not. If the game is SP and short, I'll complete it first :)

Dudes, I'm loving Renegade Ops right now. This along with Sonic Generations are probably the best Sega released games I've played in many years.
I just need to get online with it so I stop getting my butt whipped, and also taste the true glory of the game.

Right now I'll put Renegade Ops and Trine 2 on my list, but if there's a completion rule then nevermind.

I bought it on Amazon and activated it on Steam, and it magically had all the DLC included. I'm not sure if that's true of all recent versions because they still have the DLC for sale separately, but it sure did raise the value significantly for me (especially after paying only 3 dollars).

Cool thing about the Steam version though - you get Gordan Freeman as an extra character.

Sega fucked up the release on PC (many delays, no information etc.) so they gave the dlc away for free. At least for people that bought before DLC was released or so. I am not 100% sure.

Ah ok, forgot RDR was already 2010 and Flatout UC even 2008, lol go figure.. So that just leaves BF3, WoT and Dirt3 then as new games for me for this year..

Dunno what the problem is, probably me getting older puting in less time and games getting boring for me I guess (seen it all since Pong in late 70's).. I like BF3 because it has awesome graphics with goodold BF gameplay, I like WoT because I like WWII tanks (King Tiger FTW!) and it's addicting to upgrade them, and I like Dirt3 because I like fun (dirty) racing online with friends.. Xbox 360 and PC series like CoD lost me this year, they need upgrading to get my attention back..
