Everyone seems to love Red Faction. I was waiting for the PC version, but then I realized that it's made by Violition. The Saints Row 2 port on the PC was apparently one of (if not *the*) worst console-to-PC port of the generation. I've heard nothing but horrible things about the interface and performance. Maybe I'll rent the ole 360 version.

Wow, that sucked. Well then it'll get scrapped from the list. I really wasn't expecting it to fall down that hard.

So what about BlazBlue, anyone have it? What do you think? I've never played GG, so I don't know if I should buy it--because I can't quite tell if I'd like it. I might just have to wait for a price drop or something.

if it's any reconciliation, that's the score they gave to the 360 version and they clearly say they only reviewed the 360 version. I am sure the PC version would have faired a LOT better. I am not sure what Bioware did to the 360 version.

The game was designed for the PC.. it's only natural that the port feels like a.. port.

So they shouldnt have released it on consoles until they made a PROPER port.

I personally never played the Dragon Age series so dont know how it works but is it literally IMPOSSIBLE to translate the controls to consoles or something ?

Its not hard to believe, we are gamers, we dont like hearing bad press about games we like or in my case looking forward to :)
Still not a fan of edge, £5.99 for a magazine which is 40% adverts...yey.

Well you dont have to buy it you know :) as per your reason for not liking the score, It's not a valid one. You have to accept criticism wether bad or good.

personally i dont accept it nor do i get mad over it either, their reviews are terrible imo, and they're possibly the most pompus, up their own arse reviewers out there, i learned this a long time ago, and it's not so much about accepting their opinion, it's a case of ignoring it.

Can anyone explain the Bayonetta 10 to me? I've read the EDGE review and I'm none the wiser.

I'm not saying it's bad, just usually a 10 in Edge is reserved for something pretty notable and I can't fathom what it's based on. Plenty of fairly flawless games that don't push the envelope much wind up with 9s.

As I was saying in the chatbox a couple of days ago, Bayonetta marks like.. the 4th proper entry in that strange subgenre of hyper hardcore action games. I suppose what they're saying is it ranks alongside Devil May Cry 1, 3 and Ninja Gaiden, and probably goes beyond those games.
