2009-05-11 10:09:57 Yea.. I mean.. I'm not really all that interested in the campaign, but damn this is getting me pumped anyway. I'm not disinterested, I just need to see some MP levels and stuff. I suppose those are all ripped from the campaign anyhow though, and this is a nice peak at the kind of environments we might be seeing. Deserts and forests are great.. but a little variety would be awesome. |

2009-05-11 11:59:16 very short teaser though :( looks good but I have to say graphically, it's showing it's age. I still cant believe they're bringing out a new COD every year .... --- |

2009-05-11 21:49:01 Oh trust me you'll hear it here too. It's also the "same" engine as COD1 in some regards--some people are even calling it the Q3A engine! Yes.. I know its heritage.. but if you can't see how the platform has grown over the years you're just daft. Is Call of Duty behind the times? Technically? Maybe a little... yet that never stopped a game from being great before. |

2009-05-12 23:02:03 In reply to Jin187 (2009-05-12 21:24:09) Posted by Jin187 ... because WAW is even easier to get kills than in COD4, its also newer and fresh thus attracting more casual players. Well.. Hardcore mode is casual, I guess. But it's actually a good deal harder to kill someone with a bolt action rifle than it is with an M4 or AK47, and the STG44 doesn't do enough damage. So I'll just file this under, "Doesn't Know What He's Talking About," and move along. I guess any shooter that yields high damage is casual. Counter Strike, we're coming for you next! I'll concede one point though: TDM in Call of Duty is garbage. |

2009-05-13 00:41:03 Well, who's using a rifle in WAW anyway (on XBL)? It is pretty easy to rack up a lot of kills with the MP 40 if you get used to the pace. I've used rifles right from the start and was reasonably good with them, but it's just so much easier to just rush into some enemies and rip them a new one release some dogs and kill some more. You get much more kills that way, and it's easier to use, that's why 90% of the people you meet on XBL will use MPs. |

2009-05-13 01:00:52 Well.. duh. The Thompson owns that game just like it owned in COD2. The MP40 and PPSh are both very good too. Overall I prefer the Tommy. But what can I say the game just didn't keep me entertained. I didn't even make it to the level cap.. and I'm pretty much done with it..... rifles do own though, and I don't play Call of Duty on XBL :P |

2009-05-13 13:07:56 http://www.gamezine.co.uk/news/game-types/shooter/... Infinity Ward has taken note of the criticisms of CoD4's enemies (they would constantly respawn unless a player crossed a certain line) and are looking to fix this. The game's single-player will also be longer than CoD4. Although there will be no co-op in the game's story mode, a series of separate missions in the spirit of CoD4's Mile High Club will include cooperative multiplayer. --- |

I'm not to concerned with the campaign. I'll probably get all excited about it and then hardly touch it just like I did with Call of Duty 4. Prior to the release of MW2, I promise I'll finish the campaign in COD4! I think! |

2009-05-14 15:19:50 Some of the levels towards the end of WAWs single player were ridiculous. It wasn't enjoyable at all. I prefer the levels that are slower and more thought out. The mission in COD4 where you played a sniper was fantastic. --- |
