But wasent it confirmed the next title would be for Wii?

I hope its the next-gen version for 360 and PS3, I would instantly get excited :P

The PoP titles makes me happy being a persian, just wish I could do the things the prince can do, and whats ironic is, my real name means "prince" in arabic.

I read the new details about the game, great stuff.
I even saw the scans and it seems to take a unique looking art with the graphics. A bit of cellshaded type or drawing, very cool.

I hope today (29th here) for Ubidays we get to see a teaser or a trailer for it :D

I'm not sure that's true. The French article says that the game is now top priority at Ubi and people from teams get to work (R6, GRAW, AC) on this game, but looking at the most important names in the article I don't remember them from Sands of Time credits (could check at mobygames if needed) but certainly the main guy (Patrice Desilet) behind Sands of Time is working on something different, AC2 probably. Not that it matters though.

The core team that made Sands of Time is part of the 140 people working on the game right now. Also the core team of SOT was the only team working on the game during the pre-production phase which practically decides almost everything about what the game is all about. They have to bring in people later on to help out which is obvious.

Ubisoft Montreal has always been like this. They have their best people as part of a small team that works on the pre-production phases of new games. the core team that worked on SOT moved on to work on Assassins creed and then they moved again from Assassins creed to the new prine of persia.

Patrice desilets was the Creative Director on SOT and ASSASSINS CREED and I am sure he's now the Creative director on the new prince of persia. We still know nothing but I can assure you he should be part of the team now. By the way Ben Mattes is the producer on the new Prince of persia. he was the one that produced The Two Thrones and he was part of the original SOT team as well.

Yannis Mallat if you remember was the producer on Sands of time and he's now the CEO of ubisoft montreal.

Well, that's a given, at least part of that team.According to Ubi PR they were working on Assassin's Creed. Unless they have some people who work on several projects at once, which could be true.I would rather have their best people working on execution. ;] I guess they work on both phases, maybe perhaps their best people consult and overview what people in other teams are doing.

Anyway enough of this, it doesn't really matter anyway. I like the art style, idea of fewer but more interesting to fight enemies and the mythology seems interesting, too. I have my fingers crossed.

Looks really nice and the cell shaded graphics may gonna gives the game a new and better art style IMO. Cant wait really.
I do not know why always people complain about Ubi. Ii think they are one of the best companies out there and that they have some of the best developement teams. I always enjoy their games (yes even their expanded versions like GRAW 2 and RS Vegas 2).
I think I am becoming more casual XD.

You've complained about the lack of platfomers this generation, and you don't care about one of the better platformer franchises from last generation? Come on now! Sands of Time was excellent, and the sequels weren't nearly as deserving of the harsh criticism they've received as some people might have you believe.

Between this and the new Tomb Raider, I'll be in platform heaven :)
