He's not even that hard. If you want to see cheap, go play Alpha in DOA4. He has really high priority, and he's fast, and he has pretty long combos/juggles. He's a pain in the ass, but seriously.. it's not that difficult to take him out.

Even though I am not interested in SC4 (not a fighting fan), my only interest was the movelist and attacks from the Star Wars characters, and I saw some of Starkiller's (secret apprentice) and they look pretty awesome, on youtube.

That alone makes me want to get the game, but considering I am not into fighting games I am holding it off until the demo hits for his debut game in September when it gets released.

Gonna watch the first two links, I saw the gamespot video during E3.

The costume concept is pretty cool, wear different skins and different outfits (for the apprentice), if they could give us a new game+ with everything unlocked and just have fun it from the beginning of the game it would be cool.
On the video they showed him change to "Proxy" and went thru the same level that you played as the apprentice, maybe it's there :)

According to Evolution pack you get to even have your typical Jedi and Sith robes, now those are cool.

Starkiller's moves (lame name, btw) are pretty cool in Soul Calibur, but who knows if they're even an indication of what he'll be like in Force Unleashed. I wouldn't jump on SC if you're just interested in the Star Wars characters, you're better off missing it all together. It's a great game, but if you don't like fighting games, it's not for you.

I think Starkiller is a cool name for a codename to use in SW.

Anyways, he isn't using all of his combos and other force powers that he uses in Force Unleashed in SC4l, and I think it's because of balancing it out for a fighting game.

But yeah, It has been difficault for me to stay away form SC4 just for the SW characters, but because it is a fighting game and those are not my type of games, I am just gonna avoid it and wait for the demo and then the full game.

"Next week G4tv will be holding a one hour special on 30 years of Star Wars in Japan, following will be a half hour in-depth look at the making of The Force Unleashed. It is believed that during this one hour special, they will be doing a review of the upcoming demo release, which means most likely that the demo won’t be released before August 14th.

This still isn’t confirmed yet, so naturally, I can’t say whether this is true. Personally, I believe that the demo will be released with the release of The Clone Wars on August 16th and I have heard some rumors that this is when it will be released, again nothing is confirmed yet."

XAL is right about the whole name thing and the whole who is the strongest "force user".

About the second news...in mid August then...*sigh* I hope its early and not in the end of the month.

Clone Wars has premier on the 14th, so it is MAYBE next week on the 14th which is a Thursday and PSN update is by then.
If not next week, I am probably sure its the week after that, so within 2 weeks.
I for one hope it is next week, or this week haha.

It seems the demo hitting this thursday is not exactly 100% true, according to LucasArts TFU forum...but hey there is still a strong rumor that it does come out this thursday or anytime during the week on XBL.

If it doesn't come out this week, well I wouldn't be surprised, I hope I am wrong :)

Two reasons why everyone is pretty much saying why the demo hits this thursday.

1. Star Wars The Clone Wars movie will hit theaters this week.
2. A exclusive hands-on demo by G4TV, and more The Force Unleashed related in Japan or something.

It makes sense if the rumor was true, hopefully it is :D

Lucasarts PR confirmed no demo thursday, no demo this week , but rather "soon" - though we'll find out more about the demo this week during the g4 Xplay special. HOPEFULLY that means the release date is early next week.

Always happens the same. Demo will be released almost at the same time as the game hits shelves. Maybe a week earlier or so but no before IMO.
They do not want that people gets scared if they find the demo horrible so they start cancelling their preorders.

That's pretty shitty. I'm not buying it "day one" anyway, but I still would have loved to try it before it released. I'm very interested in this game, I'm just limiting my purchase of new releases to a few key titles this year for now, unless I'm swayed by an incredibly cool demo, that is ;)

It's still coming this month...just not this week as everyone assumed it would.
Even if we get the demo the last day of this month it's still 2 weeks before release.

None of the "confirmations" of demo date were actually confirmations of anything, just people taking rumors as fact.
