2009-10-18 15:36:25 wmv 60 fps trailers are choking

Guys, i have a AMD quad core with ATI 3600 gc and cant play the WMV HD 720p 60 fps video's from this site without them choking after a few seconds of playback, do i need a specific codec to play them, i have tried WMP and VLC and they just choke after a few seconds, my OS is vista 64 bit.

i have just converted one of the video files with Winavi video converter using the WMV9 codec keeping the same rez and frame rate and it runs perfectly on my PC, so i'm guessing its a codec problem, i have the latest FFdshow codec pack so i guess thats no good then, what codec pack should i be using.

By 'choking' you mean the progress bar and sound continues, but the image freezes?

If so, I now and then get that with the .avi vids. Never really bothered to troubleshoot this though. I just skip the progress bar a few seconds and I can continue to watch the rest of the vid. Seems like certain sections get corrupted or something...

sorry, by choking i mean the frame rate drops from 60fps to about 10 fps also the sounds gets corrupted too.

Same problem here only with the wmv 60 fps ones. A shame because the others wmv-hd videos play perfect.
