Here at Gamersyde, saying we don't like April fool's jokes would be a dramatic understatement. Nevertheless, it would be even more foolish to skip this very nice (and weird) video of an imaginary cross-over between Metal Gear Solid 4 and Assassin's Creed, produced by Ubisoft and Konami themselves - especially knowing that besides the Altaïr joke, the video features real never seen before gameplay from Hideo Kojima's next game.

First day buy on Limited Edition for sure, and my god it better hit the freaking Europe zone here WITH the statue!

Though the limited edition's gameplay content will be identical to that of the standard version, Assassin's Creed LE will boast a number of bonus supplemental content items. In addition to a specialized tin packaging, the game will also include a figurine of lead character Altair, Penny Arcade comics, a miniature strategy guide, and Assassin-themed short films. Behind-the-scenes videos, official trailers, developer diaries, producer interviews and other unnamed goodies are also planned.

Assassin's Creed Limited Edition, release date unknown, will retail for $69.99 (US) and be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The standard version will ship at $59.99.

I hate limited editions because most of them lack content to justify the extra $10 but I have to have them. I'm also pissed that we have to pay an extra $10 when the pc version is $50. With the limited edition you are paying and extra $20 to the publishers.

Yea.. I feel the same way. I've purchased a handful of LE boxes and they're often not worth the extra cash. I really wanted the Halo legendary edition box, but I'm having second and third thoughts about that now.. it just seems WAY overpriced. Especially for something that already has such amazing marketing value.

Shit, they sold a ton of copies of Crackdown just for that beta :P

:D i see what you're saying and to some extent i agree but assassins creed is just one of those games that seems like its gonna be the kind of game i enjoy the most.

The great thing about limited editions tho..is if you feel they are stupid and don't deliver then you don't have to buy them.

Finally a CE/LE with a figurine.. Might actually be worth buying if you're a collector and/or fan.. And only 10 bucks more is also very reasonable..

It seems that Assassins Creed is not time travel or matrix-ish kind of thing...good...I hoped it wasent like that.

Second of all, it is confirmed that the game WILL be playable at E3.
