Man that looks sweet, the textures are really varied and look great. The character models are again excellent.

I have yet to sink in the character model, its that great looking :D
Can't wait for this game.

Although I wished the character looked a bit more "adventureous", with a bit beard, more cargo, more of that "Indy" looking clothes, that would have been sweet, he looks like he thought this Island was full with girls and he wanted to look his best :P

I like how you can see the water still dripping off him, as he jumped around, after he got out the water. Animations are really top notch too.

Very impressive gameplay video. The animations are top notch everything looks really natural. The gunplay seems really nice. That blood effect though when he gets shot looks bad though.

Water looks impressive. Performance appears to be rock solid. Looking really good all around.

looks amazing for sure!

There is one thing I didn't like about the water was when water drops from him to the water itself it looked wierd.

But I did like that whatever he is wet, like his upper body or legs...etc. it shows its wet, never seen that in a video game.

Water looked like your average mercury nowadays. At minute 1:03 of that video, he's shooting the floor but the bullets are hitting a guy somewhere, cheap. Hand to hand combat looks VERY sloppy as well as many of the animations. Shadowing is just bad. Sound is weak as hell too. Borrows A LOT from Gears.

That's the real state of the game right now, according to me of course. Overall, not impressive at all in ANY regard.

I can't get over the fact that Sath considers that shirt to be "looking his best".

Otherwise, I've always looked forward to this one, ever since the target render - which incidentally IS incredibly representative of the final look. I gobble up pulp adventure and PoP antics like... a complete... gobble....master.

@ szaromir, It's obvious that the shooting mechanics are adapted from Gears, but considering that the game isn't even a shooter, calling the game a Gears of War clone is pretty misguided. Or misguiding perhaps, to viewers who just tuned in.

Well, Jak 2 was advertised as an adventure game, but what I played was a shooter. Won't get fooled again.;] But I don't see these platforming elements as an advantage of Uncharted as they look rather bland compared to Assassin's Creed or Mario Galaxy. I mean, it's pretty weird when you can climb one vine but you can't 10 others and so on.

Could someone explain where the shadows on the character are? The character looks pasted into the scene, like he was chroma keyed, lighting doesn't match very good at all. They appear to be missing... looks good otherwise, but no shadowing... c'mon.

For me it looks like:
jungle level = great dynamic shadowing
other levels = no shadowing
I wonder why is that.
