The game may also have a remodeled vice city (THE WORDS IN CAPITAL LETTERS)

Another sign says "Mega Mart, Silver, Watches, Sports Wear, Games, Glasses, Shirts." A sign at the right begins to emerge, but the train quickly hides it. Notice at the left of the shot, it is a place to get on a train...a platform. Notice the gaseous substance coming from air units attached into windows on the housing...a sign of the season? A sign of seasons in the game?

That'd be awesome if you could travel to all the cities in the past games, or even just between Liberty City and Vice City. I just hope this game hasn't skimped on the planes.

This could have totally been posted in the GTA trailer thread. But never mind that--where's this sign that says "Visit Vice City"? I just watched the trailer like 3 times, I see no such sign...am I blind? There's a sign with the numbers 300 near the train, but I don't see the words Vice City anywhere.

blue ray in my opinion isnt needed...just shit fed to mugs so they'll say WOW! now games will be much better, so far blue ray + games hasn't been worth shit!

You can fit all three games (GTAIII through San Andreas) onto one DVD9 probably, but that doesn't mean you'd be able to fit the new and improved Liberty City onto one DVD9 with the new and improved VC/SA. This may be one case where a high capacity format would aid such a goal...
But never mind that idea anyway. Liberty City will be new and improved, and much larger than it was in previous games (I wouldn't be surprised if it's larger than SA) I figure too. I actually do doubt there would be room for the entirety of all three main GTA locations on one DVD9 at that level of quality. You may hold a poor opinion of Blu Ray (for whatever reason) but the fact is that if you want to see such lofty goals achieved so soon, we're going to need more than 9 gigs of storage.
It sure would be interesting if VC was in the game but I sorta doubt that too. Why bother when they can just make VC2 later and it will be like printing free money?

grift i know you know alot more then me about this subject so ill ask you this...with the choice of staying with dvd9...hasn't microsoft developed much better compressing tools..allowing high res objects to be reduced to much smaller sizes...we all know that blue ray is bigger..but isn't it slower at reading then dvd9?also what games have used blue ray yet?as in gone over 9 gigs

I don't think DVD9 was a mistake, they never could have finished the Xbox 360 in 2005 and shipped it with a large capacity format. It's also in their favor I think to sit it out and see what format becomes standard..but DVD9 won't be a comfortable standard forever.
DVD9 is fine for now though, and even if developers wanted more space, they can make due with those limitations and still pump out some awesome stuff. We've already seen plenty to support that.
