Its definitely best game year ever on a single platform. The game lineup for the 360 this year is immense. So many incredible games of so many different styles.

I think 2006 was great, we got Graw, Saints Row, Dead Rising, Fight Night, Rainbow Six : Las Vegas and Splinter Cell Double Agent and of course Gears. This year has been a slow one imo. Crackdown, Flatout, The Darkness. The good games are yet to come though. Just saying that 2006 was very good gaming year for me atleast.

Yup 2008 is no 2007, but when you have titles such as Halo 3 or Mass Effect it's hard to outclass that I guess. ;)

Spiderman 3, Shrek the Third? If I were making a list of the best this year has to offer, I don't think that nearly a quarter of it would be dominated by EA sports games either :)
Bullet Witch? Yeah.. regardless.. that list just supports my previous statement. If you want the best the year has to offer across any set of genres sticking to one platform is basically insane.
