Disgaea 3 clearly is not going to win prizes for its wondrously low resolution sprites, but it terms of creativity and "WTF" it's certainly up there. SRPG fans will definitely enjoy this game and its "Stupid hard levels".
Here is the introduction video for the strategy game Disgaea 3, an exclusive Playstation 3 title. Entirely produced with a japanese anime style, the video reveals many characters from other titles developed by Nippon Ichi such as Phantom Brave, La Pucelle and other entries in the Disgaea universe : will you be able to identify them?
The latest edition of Famitsu magazine offers a lot of visual material for fans of the upcoming Disgaea 3 on Playstation 3. The charm from this series seems to be back in full force even if the developers aren't willing to change from the (old-looking) 2D sprites. The european release date has not been confirmed yet.
Nippon Ichi sends us a giant new batch of screens for the role-playing strategy (SRPG) game Disgaea 3 planned as an exclusive Playstation 3 title at the end of January 2008 in Japan. A new gang of characters is installed, including Mao, Raspberyl, Almaz and Jiiya at their Maritsu Evil Academy school. They, along monsters, have really bad looking sprites. If I wouldn't have specified the platform, who would have thought?
The return of the modern king in the role-playing strategy genre (SRPG) is awaited on the Playstation 3 with Disgaea 3. Developer Nippon Ichi is being conservative in the graphics department, which is still a skilful mix of traditional 2D and 3D. Discover some images of the game and a recent trailer (sorry for size).

There's more to VR implementation than graphics. I don't think most games are going to work all that well in VR. (1 Hour ago)
Oculus Rift.. and it's still damn early in its implementation. A year from now? With commercial products on the shelf? We'll see lots of pretty VR demos. (1 Hour ago)
@droezelke: What piece of software are they supposed to show? No one is creating content for VR. Lots of people have run Elite, Alien: Isolation, and several other new "graphically intense" games on (1 Hour ago)
@GriftGFX: I think it will be more experienced based 'games'. (1 Hour ago)
@GriftGFX: Still, I don't see any graphic intense game on VR pretty soon. If it was possible, Facebook would already shown something to promote OR. (2 Hours ago)
