Phantom Dust

Microsoft just put online a new version of the Xbox emulator for our 360s, and this time there are lots of good games to play! Breakdown, Full Spectrum Warrior, Guilty Gear Isuka, JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future (not for Europe, not the Pack Version) MechAssault® 2: Lone Wolf, Mercenaries, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, Panzer Dragoon ORTA (Woohoo), Phantom Dust, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Soul Calibur 2 (finally in Europe), Street Fighter® Anniversary Collection et Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict. And since I've lost my PDO, here are some 720p captures of Phantom Dust!

Nullman just sent me this long video presentation of how the skills and arsenals are handled in Phantom Dust. You'll discover the arsenal editing interface, the shop and the skills in small videos.

Here are a few screenshots I did of the Lobby area in Phantom Dust, that should help you understand why I think this game is one of the most visually stunning on the Xbox. The area I'm the most impressed with is the bar, it's just incredible how the modeling and lightning is just perfect. Videos to come soon.

I received my Phantom Dust DVD this afternoon, and I already did this 17 minutes long video of the beginning of the game. It's sooo good to finally be able to understand what's going on ! I won't comment on the game since I really did not play enough, but already I can say that this game sports the most amazing graphics I've seen on the Xbox. The large lobby area is simply gorgeous, it's looks like real time CG ! I'll make some very high quility video of this area tomorrow.

The official Phantom Dust site has been updated one last time. As always I've reencoded these awful flash videos to xvid, and this almost 2 minutes long video is the result. Quite a change from our usual "what the hell is happening to me" videos :)

Shin Asura from the Teamxbox forum did these 5 videos of Phantom Dust, presenting each one of the types of power you can choose in the demo. The full game will allow you to create your own personnal power collection.

I've been able to figure late last night how to play Phantom Dust, so I've done this video a bit earlier than anticipated. Without any japanese reading skills the game is still very hard to play, but I'm happy to say that I've just had confirmation that the full version will have an english language option !

While waiting for true ingame videos of the game (when I actually understand the game system), here are two videos from the demo of Phantom Dust distributed in the latest Famitsu Xbox. The first one is the actual CG only intro, the second is from the attract mode and present a mix of CGs and amazing ingame footage.
I've not been able to play the game much yet, but so far technically and artistically Phantom Dust really impressed me. Can't wait to have someone helping me a bit so I can make some more videos.

After quite a lot of time lost trying to find how to do this I've finally managed to assemble this video composed of 16 different flash movies from the Phantom Dust official site. Of course I don't understand everything that's happening but it looks really nice.

Phantom Dust will be released in Asia real soon now, with a Live playable demo available next week in Famitsu Xbox. I'll try my best to do a lot of videos of the demo and the final game, but in the meantime here are 4 new screenshots.
