WRC 4 back with Shadow Play

If you're a PC gamer, chances are you've heard of Nvidia's Shadow Play, whose beta started a few days ago. Thanks to this new system added to the most recent graphics cards, capturing videos in PC games becomes easier and less demanding, though it's still not perfect in fast gameplay sequences. Audio can only be recorded at 96 Kbits, which is ok but still below our standards, but should satisfy most people. Overall, it's a promising tool that we think many players will be glad to use, even more as it is completely free. Here's an example of the video quality you can get with the new replay of WRC 4.

Four more for WRC 4

WRC 4 will be available by the end of this week on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Playstation Vita, which is probably why Milestone just released a few more images of the game. We would have loved to show you the new video as well, but Bigben Interactive decided to follow the new trend and do like some other publishers by only proposing a YouTube version, which we never use for obvious reasons. In case you hadn't noticed, a trial version of the game was released a few days ago on consoles and, oddly enough, the PS Vita version seems to be the most fun of the three.

WRC 4 new screenshots

More racing this afternoon with this time a couple of images of the upcoming WRC 4 from Milestone. The third installment in the franchise showed great progress last year and when we got to try the new edition of the game in Cologne, it looked rather promising.

One more summer on Gamersyde

It's been a pretty busy summer in terms of homemade videos. Of course, there was Gamescom in Cologne, which allowed us to bring back a lot of content, but we also covered almost every possible release in the past two months. Because the team is not getting any bigger, the French side got a bit more content than than the English side, but we sincerely hope you still appreciate the effort. More to come in the coming weeks, with the release of long awaited titles such as GTA V obviously, but also all the other games which will ship between now and the end of this year. Next gen is around the corner and we are rather excited to see what the new consoles have in store of us. However, the next months will also be fateful for us, as we still need to see if Microsoft and Sony will consider us worthy of a debug consoles as they did in the past. What's important now is that we are truly motivated to continue our work for as long as we can, and with all the projects we have in mind for the website, we can only hope we're given the opportunity to make them come true. Many thanks to all of you and special thanks to all the developers who have always shown us how supportive they are of our work. We wouldn't be here anymore if it weren't for all of you.

A snowy trailer for WRC4

Milestone just released this new trailer of WRC4, showing that like every year now they are still working on making their rally series looking a bit better than the previous game.

  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX If using G-Sync didn't make me a believer, losing it certainly did. 120hz w/o any sync is damn jarring after g-sync. (9 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There's yet to be a public demonstration of Freesync that's on the same page as G-Sync though. It's all been on like a 40-60hz range. (12 minutes ago)
  • rayy
rayy @GriftGFX: Yeah I can understand that. We will have to wait and see how well freesync work first though. (12 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @rayy: I don't believe them. If it's part of the displayport standard, they're probably going to wind up supporting it. They just want to push G-Sync now. (14 minutes ago)
  • rayy
rayy So yeah if freesync works well with AMD and is supported trough all monitors coming we could see Nvidia get forced to support it to, and that could be a win or everyone. (17 minutes ago)
  • rayy
rayy @GriftGFX: well Nvidia says that they wont be supporting freesync, but that can change if it is support trough all monitors coming and people demand it. Also depends on how well it works on AMD. (18 minutes ago)

Sdarts @b0vril: You won't regret it, Spec OPs: The Line is epic! (33 minutes ago)
