WRC 7

While the Xbox One was already granted its own Fanatec steering wheel in 2015, Playstation 4 owners had to wait one more year to have a taste at a higher-end wheel. Since 2016, the German manufacturer has finally proposed a version of the CSL Elite which is officially compatible with Sony's console. For our first full-written review of 2017, we have decided to give you our detailed impressions on this (quite expensive) piece of hardware, with a bunch of off-screen videos showing the wheel in action and even a fully translated video review. Because it's a first on Gamersyde, we would love to hear what you think about this kind of article so we know if this review was well worth the efforts we've put into it. Enjoy!

You'd think we'd be out of Xbox One Enhanced games but we're not quite yet. WRC 7 was also updated to improve its visuals and it shows when compared to the Xbox One S version, even though framerate remains locked at 30 fps.

Car racing enthusiasts are particularly happy this year with many games available. Kylotonn Entertainment have delivered one of them with WRC 7, which you will find on Xbox One in the news.

It took us long enough but here is finally the replay of our livestream dedicated to WRC 7. As it is usually the case with us, we had a certain amount of technical issues yesterday, but with a bit of luck (and talent), we'll hopefully find a way to fix them in the weeks to come.

WRC 7 will be officially released tomorrow, but we have been playing the game for almost a week now, on PC and PS4 Pro. We therefore have tons of videos to share with you as well as a full verdict and our usual +/- section. We also remind you that we will be live playing the game tonight from 9:00 to 9:40 CET.

While our review coverage of WRC 7 will have to wait until Thursday, we have been authorized to prepare a preview video where we share our first impressions on this new episode. We have chosen to take you to Wales on what they call an epic stage, as it gave us more time to talk and to show you the different camera views. BigBen Interactive announced that all WRC 7 pre-orders will come with Romain Dumas' Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT on consoles and PC. Here is a short trailer to see it in action, although we actually shared some gameplay footage of the car during Gamescom.

Here is one last batch of WRC 7 videos from Cologne, with Miguel's skills in Mexico and some other guy's difficulties in Spain (hence the heavy editing). We've also added the 2 replays, which are still not convincing enough in our opinion, due to the long close-ups on the car way too often. Last but not least, we've tried to put together the (very) short passages of the presentation where the car moved a bit so you can see the PS4 version too. We are aware it isn't much to have an idea of what to expect, but from what we've seen, the game was running smoothly on Sony's console (let us however remind you that the console versions will be locked at 30 fps this time).

Putting up the following WRC 7 video is particularly risky when you consider its size. BlimBlim's wrath could indeed wipe us all out, but much like Simba, we laugh in the face of danger, so here is the full version of our epic stage in Australia. Obviously it includes the several mistakes we made that we had edited the first time for the most part.

We had anticipated it, but this Gamescom is the worse one yet in terms of actually new content we could film or capture. Still, a few games are there for us to play and show you guys, so let's start with WRC 7 and this first video with a few more to follow.
