Later, we watched a cut-scene complete with English voice-overs. In the scene, a man and a woman were standing in a secluded alleyway having a discussion. They were apparently off on a mission of some sort but were waiting for another person to show up. Soon, a very drunk man appeared from a door nearby, accompanied by three blond and scantily clad women.

The man joked around about being needed for an important mission and eventually after some coercion was convinced to take leave of his female companions. The whole scene was quite funny, and the English voice acting sounded good. Apparently, although the game has a gloomy, somber look, it will have its share of humor as well.

lol well, speaking of money, here is another description of this particular Scene:

Next we saw an in-game story sequence. This was created with the current build of the engine, though it will look better by game's release (Sakaguchi pointed out that self-shadowing had not yet been turned on). In the sequence, a side character was stumbling out of a bar with three similar looking women who can only be described as prostitutes. The man was clearly drunk and the women were fawning on him as they asked him not to go. A girl who was standing aside the main character took offense (big surprise) and tossed a few coins to the girls and told them to scram, shortly after berating the drunken oaf. The visuals here were crisp with some excellent animations. After seeing Blue Dragon shortly before this, the difference in style is night and day.
