http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?st...

Fable 2 in experimental stage even with the game well into developement

Fable 2 plans to have no HUD, no health bar, no hit points and no screen tutorials

Fable 2 will provide help to player with whats in the game

Wealth exchange will be a large part of Fable 2 gameplay

Combat will be more dramatic than realistic

Combat will involve interaction with environment objects as well as weapons

Fable 2 is aiming for interaction to a level that a woman can get pregnant through sexual process, get pregnant, carry the baby and deliver the child in the game itself

Character can then control and parent his or her child and make them grow in the way you want, good bad strong weak shy etc etc

Lets hope they can pull it off but they should keep their mouth shut until they know what will be featured in the game.

....What?

The secret game feature has something to do with the unconditional love aspect of the game regarding how your child would run up to you and hug you when you get back home or something.

I can think of only 2 things

1) All control is via analogue sticks, no buttons

2) Time passes in game as it passes in reality, no more 24 minute days, no more accelerated morning, noon and night and it's persistant - if you leave the game while you sleep it will calculate actions in your absence based on your save data and time elapsed.

Come back 3 weeks later and you'll find you land squatted by bandits and your church turned into a shrine to worship Skorm.

How would you know. As I recall they arent saying anything about it.

Actually, in a recent interview on 1up or some other shitty site, Molyneux comes right out and says that the secret feature has to do with the unconditional love aspect like Optimus said.

That's saying too much in my opinion. They need to shut the hell up and maybe generate hype with some screenshots and eventually some gameplay vids. When a feature is known to be completely implemented, then it should be mentioned. Also, the whole gypsy encampment turning into a town/overgrown forrest thing should really be downplayed. You just know that it's simply going to be some kind of binary choice that dictates whether or not it's a town or a forest when you come back to it. I hate when features are talked up and made to sound like complex marvels of gaming ingenuity...but are actually painfully simple and simply never live up to the expectations we're coaxed into having.

That said, I'm super stoked about this game. I loved Fable and thought it was an amazing game(minus the horribly short length and the disgusting loading between tiny, adjacent areas...oh, and the shitty item pacing), and number two can only get better.

Considering how tight lipped peter molyneux was earlier... I think I can pretty confidently say that if he's talking about all these features they've been implemented already and are just being expanded on and tuned.

I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to any kind of...large scale feature. I don't give any developers the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this. They all try to act like they've revolutionized something and give it a special name, but it's never as good as they say. Take Oblivion for example(I loved it...one of my favourite 360 games so far) and its "radiant a.i." What the hell was so special about a bunch of simple preprogrammed actions involving "wake up - walk to point a - do something for 8 hours - walk home - sleep?" OOooohhh...PLUS, the got mad when you attacked them! WOW! That's some brilliant a.i. right there.

I just wish they would realize that what they have is usually not so special, and consequently, i wish they would treat it as such. And to be clear, I'm talking about features, not the games themselves.

Oh...another thing about features... I hate when shit like "wield 10 unique weapons" is listed as a feature. Since when should the fact there are weapons in an fps be mentioned with any kind of focus placed on it? Those feature lists suck so bad.
