Bungie has announced the third and final map in the upcoming Downloadable content pack for Halo 3, the Legendary Map Pack. Blackout is a remake of the Halo 2 favourite Lockout, and it is supposed to be a strict remake of it without too much changes made. I think in any form it has to be an fps I'm thinking, but I think they can now afford to break away from certain design related choices that they'd stick with for Halo and make it more realistic (like people see from Killzone) now that they are no longer working with the Master Chief and I guess they would no longer be fighting aliens...

Unsure. It would be pretty cool if it were a third person shooter with a great melee combat system.

Well they do have a loooong period of war before the first Halo to explore. I loved the Spartan missions where they would go and take out smugglers and other human criminals, especially the mission in the hollowed out asteroid (I forget which book that was in)

It has to be FPS? You've seen Halo Wars, right? The possibilities are pretty much endless. It could even still deal with spartans -- it could still deal with aliens. Who knows.

Have you played Marathon? They've basically done this once before already. The similarities between those worlds are pretty dramatic.
