Microsoft's and Silicon Knights' Too Human will be released in Europe tomorrow, and here's an insanely long interview from the XCN with the lead designer of the game. The interview consists of questions submitted from several sites, and it covers nordic mythology, co-op and much much more.

Seems like this had been one of those cases (so far) where it's actually looked quite a bit better in screenshots than it has when it's moving. But I know they've been hard at work on this one, so hopefully the next showing won't disappoint. I'm much more interested in this game now that I know that it's co-op. The Diablo connection certainly draws my attention.

It was important to us that we maintained the fun, and did not lose the gameplay and responsive controls at the cost of cleaner animations. Retaining the game’s timing and distancing was always first and foremost when it came to combat controls.

The slides in “Too Human” now feel and look great, and they are just one aspect of the “Too Human” melee combat system. We’ve only just begun to discuss some of the cool things you can do with all of the various melee combat techniques in “Too Human.”

Before E3 it looked better in screens than in motion. After it has looked better in motion.
