Images of Operation Darkness

Atlus releases eight new images of Operation Darkness. This Tactical-RPG is available since late 2007 in Japan but we'll have to wait until June 24th to grab it in the United-States. We're still waiting for any detail concerning a hypothetical European release.

Operation Darkness to the west

Atlus has announced that they are bringing Operation Darkness to the US, with a launch in June and a demo in early May. We have some images from the western localized version of the game inside, in it's full 1080p "glory" - as graphics isn't exactly this game's strong point. The assets were also sent out to European press folks, so here's hoping for a release in Europe too.

TGS07: Images of Operation Darkness

Yeah ! Five new images of Operation Darkness, a rather obscure T-RPG including nazi vampires, werewolves, pirates and Godzilla. Needless to say, I am truly waiting for this game which unfortunately will never leave Japan. Poor World...

Operation Darkness images

I bet the vast majority of you guys forgot all about Operation Darkness, a japanese SRPG announced quite some time ago. I admit I'm of those, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this series of new images. As a reminder, this is a strategy role playing game taking place in an alternate WWII setting with fantasy elements like wereworf nazis, SAS troops with magical powers...

Trailer of Operation Darkness

Success today put online this trailer of Operation Darkness, all in Japanese. Many will probably just assume that this is just another WW2 game to be left in the shadows, but this one actually takes on a whole new genre (for WW2 that is). The video will explain it all, but it's a mix of action, RPG and strategy - something close to Advance Wars.

Operation Darkness first screens

Small japanese developer Success corp. published today first screenies of their debut Xbox360 title; Operation Darkness. Game seems to be some sort of SRPG set in WW2, bit strange combination maybe. Operation Darkness will be released this winter in Japan.

Xbox 360 japanese games announced

Microsoft published the list of upcoming japanese games coming to Xbox 360. Some games are still unnamed and are not listed here. Looks like some japanese developers are willing to let Microsoft get a second chance after the disaster that was the first Xbox in Japan.

What's up?
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix wow, that Duel story was pretty awesome. I've always been interested in the Elites, but they being very Japanese-like was a bit jarring. This must be set AFTER Halo 3, right? So sad :( (10 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah, you have had netflix for ages too. We got Zune Marketplace now though and can finally rent stuff on the 360. The points system on the 360 is retarded when you wanna rent a movie though. (6 Hours ago)
  • Phaethon360
Phaethon360 It's been in the US for a while. (6 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Destructoid was talking about a video rental service on the PS3. Has that launched in europe yet? If so, is it only accessible in select countries? (7 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yep. Kinda disappointing considering this was Oshii's contribution (of Ghost in The Shell fame), I honestly expected a lot better. (8 Hours ago)
  • dcdelgado
dcdelgado @SimonM7: yYeah did not like the art style but i lovd the way they dig into the halo lore and not concentrate on the cheif or spartans all the time, Babysitter is still my fav though. (8 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer just finished Dragon Age this evening. Overall another Bioware hit but the story is a little too simple...no big shocks like KOTOR here. Your choices really do matter big time though. GOTY 8.7/10 (8 Hours ago)
