Bioware just announced Bring Down the Sky downloadable content for Mass Effect, to be released on the 10th of March. For a cost of 400p, you will get 90 extra minutes of gameplay and 50 possible gamerscore points. Inside you will find some more info and the first images of it.

He looks darker than what we have seen, unless Mass Effect allows you to go to a place for tan or something hehe.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about Blue Dragon makes mass effect look like a gameboy advance game. =P

On a serious note Blue Dragon and Mass Effect can't be compared they are using 2 completely different art styles and even if we could compare them Blue Dragon would win hands down, shu would kick shephard's ass without using his shadow and marumaro would destroy salmon arteries in a single attack =P

Don't take offense to my comments I know Blue Dragon didn't run flawlessly either, but for the most part it was smooth and isn't as badly troubled fps wise as mass effect was in the last video shown. I'm well aware of how incredible Mass Effect looks and the fact that it still isn't a finished game which is why I'm eager to see it look like that while running solid. I'm not saying there can't be some framedrops, but for the most part it should be smooth and that last video didn't show that. I wouldn't care about performance being locked down if I didn't think it looked impressive.

If the next time its shown it has undergone noticeable graphical improvements and still has fps issues then I'll start thinking the same way I am about Mass Effect currently. If there is anything at all I'm concerned about with Lost Odyssey is how the developers will be able to handle the UE3 engine because they've apparently been having hell with it.

Guys keep in mind what I'm saying.

I know there were frame issues in the Blue Dragon vids, but for the most part it was pretty smooth and wasn't nearly as jarring as the Mass Effect X06 build was in regards to performance. All I'm saying is the Mass Effect X06 vids were pretty choppy when it comes to fps. I'm not saying it wont be fixed. I'm just saying that some perforance issues that the game likely wouldn't be allowed to ship with were present in the X06 build and I hope they are fixed because it seems like the game has received visual upgrades since X06.

I'm just hoping for the best guys I'm not bashing the game now relax before I get the characters from Blue Dragon to jump shephard and have shephard be a no show for his own game =P

That pic up top is definitely one that needs to be experienced in motion. I like the tree designs :)
LOL. Optimus, only you could stretch out one OLD ASS topic for ten posts. And the only framerate you need worry about is Too Human.

Actually, I think they got that problem worked out. I remember either Duckroll or Johnnyram over at Gaf saying that MS sent over a expert with UE3 to help Feel+ with the engine, since they were having problems with it early on, and apparently he was allowed to leave a few months back, since his job was now finished. So I don't think they are having that problem anymore.

No problem.

Anyway man, it is just 5 days anyway, so it should be there sometimes during the GDC. But if I know BioWare info time, it is always last, like the very last of the show. Pretty much like with interviews on Gamespot or IGN and such, they always bring BioWare in the end.

I hope they show "stuff" during the first or second day.

Except with Mass effect the most recent video version we have seen is the exact same build as the one shown to journalists at X06... before LO's TGS thing. Furthermore, LO doesn't seem far behind ME in its development cycle. Heck, they already released a playable demo. What should apply to one should apply to the other.

lol they've actually shown us TONS of customization so far just not from shephard himself :)

Notice how the one shephard grabs and tells him to follow orders is wearing significantly different clothes in a number of screenshots? Pay attention to the latest ones. Or how that thing with the huge head is also wearing drastically different clothes? I'm assuming shephard can have clothes changes just as drastic.

I meant with appearance on the face with different skin color, hair, facial hair, different styles of armor for Shepard. The leveling up...etc. that kind of customization.
