Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
Waiting so long for a "next gen" and then putting out constantly inferior performance and visuals when theres a better console counterpart, yeah no thanks. (19 minutes ago)
@Moonwalker: last gen, 360 was king of multiplatform, this gen its definitely by far ps4. so youare going backwards picking inferior version IF you have a ps4 of course. (20 minutes ago)
I have a PS4,mostly because of Bloodborne (and destiny, originally. there's some X1 games coming that i want (Halo5), but i'm not sure i can justify buying one considering how little i've used the PS4 (25 minutes ago)
In my opinion there's nothing wrong with hoping for the best for your console of choice. And i am glad the improvements since it's launch are significant and i like that. (26 minutes ago)
So don't get me wrong on that, i highly enjoy my Xbox One and i definitely prefer it over PS4 in most ways, it's just i hoped for at least a better resolution in DICE's new game. (28 minutes ago)
@aphex187: I play most multiplatform games on PC so for me it's only the exclusives that counts, not which is the best console for multiplats. (29 minutes ago)
I do have to give DICE credit for the anti-aliasingt though, that IS a clear improvement over BF4 and Hardline. (30 minutes ago)
