Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
I really expected CDProject to deliver on the graphics as they really did so with Witcher 2. Oh well, it still looks like it'll be way above average grejfix. (5 Hours ago)
@GriftGFX: Maybe, but hopefully Witcher 3 will at least not be rushed and broken on release. At least i hope so. The graphics still look good, even if the visual downgrade is disappointing. (5 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: I thought the ocean in particular looked really bad. Remember that initial reveal video w/ crazy waves and awesome water effects? Gone. (6 Hours ago)
Either way..i am not concerned about colours, its something you can change yourself. But i am a little about some parts in the PC video, some things looking really nice and others rather...mediocre. (7 Hours ago)
@droezelke: CDPR said it was running on Xbox One during MS' press conference. :) (7 Hours ago)
