I still enjoy it, so no, it hasnt. Just like anything. I'm sick of COD, but there are 20 million people out there who still love it and buy it every year. I'm happy it's just more of the same but way more impressive looking. But that's just me.

I guess if you bought each and every single God of War and played them within a span of 2 years it could be stale. Otherwise, I don't really buy that argument considering we rarely get games like God of War at all. There was that Dante's Inferno game, the Castlevania game, and God of War 3. That's just 3 games this entire generation with the God of War formula.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence came on ps2 before god of war1. and Castlevania : Curse of darkness came out before god of war 2. check out the gameplay. and about chain attack belmont got their vampire killer science 1986.
i love god of war but castlevania was never got the formula from god of war. most of people do not know that. cause they become gamer by playing cod or crysis not half-life.

Halo is 4 games spanning 2001 to 2012. Pretty different.

I was just referring to similar action-adventure epic scale games this generation. Not which game originated the style.

What about FPS MP with perks, run and gun FPS games or for that matter game in every genre which are released one after the other.

This is a prequel and they can make this the best game of the series. Moreover the gfx is mind blowing. This will be one of the best if not the best game of 2013

No, He got the chain blades when he offered himself to ares while on the brink of defeat against some barbarian army. He spent years, killing thousands in the name of ares, He later killed his family and became the ghost of sparta due to their ashes being bound to his skin. I assume this takes place after joining areas, but before killing your family? i dunno?

God of War 3.1 to me.

Nothing new at all. Some tweaked moves, but nothing wow'ed me at all to go and buy it. Atleast not from the footage.
Looks like a expansion than anything else.
