No demo, No buy. Why don't developers understand that if you're not going to market your game to death, then you'll need some good press and some good word of mouth, something demo's (for good games) do.

I hope that there being no demo isn't telling, though if I'm being honest at its best I expect this game to serve as a side dish to the meatier games that get or will get released. If it recieves a good reception I'll get it when it hits the the bargain bin (which will probably be the day after release) :).

The game certainly seems to be falling on deaf ears. It's a combination of timing as straight after e3 everyones still marginally dazzled by the games that impressed that current releases start to look rudimentary, and the fact that it's coming out in a period that has seen Max Payne 3, Ghost Recon AW, Dragons Dogma (and dare I mention Dirt Showdown). All this further emphasises why I think a demo was needed (or at the very least would've helped), but hey maybe somebody over there reads this and releases a demo in 2 days.

Apparently 4 hours long...has flop written all over it.

Sounds like Grasshopper game. Game is made on cheap, so they will not lose much. :P

Well, Famitsu gave it 36/40. Just sayin'.

Famutsu also gave Ninja Gaiden 3 a high rating. Every trash-style game gets one over there.

Friend just finished the game, he says he had an absolute BLAST playing the game, it was super fun, but short gameplay time (he needed about 7h to clear it) and weak replay value are it's short comings.

Everyone just talks about 4 hours of playing. And if everyone already finished it. Dead Rising was 6 hours long. So what? Finished it like 8 or 9 times.
You definitely need some distance. I will not say more until I finished it myself.

About the game

GriftGFX That's all I'm saying. In home streaming seems like a better value than having a dedicated TV-PC. (11 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX If you buy a Steam Machine.. especially a high end Steam Machine. You are buying a powerful PC. You're just crippling it by putting it in the living room and installing linux on it. (19 minutes ago)

amerakindesi anyways it was nice jabbing with you again grift, I'm gonna go watch an episode of TWD and then hit the sack (19 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX If you buy a Steam Machine you are already buying a PC. If you put it into a desktop instead of putting it under your television, it can do more stuff. And it can still do the console thing. Win-win. (20 minutes ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi the concept just isn't right. why does anyone need a powerful pc. they have their smartphones and tablets. (24 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX You can put that same hardware in a desktop environment and get more use out of it.. and still get a console experience on the side. It just seems more practical than buying a dedicated PC for the TV. (25 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX That's more versatile than a Steam Machine will ever be. I just don't really see the benefit in owning a HTPC anymore. (27 minutes ago)
