Sweet ! Seems like i'll buy me this one a second time. Still do remember the special analog controller they sold with it, the Dreamcast controller prototype sort of...

Hmm. Those screenshots look as if they've simply been upscaled rather than remastered.

Disappointing.

Yep it is. Would be ok for $10 - anything more than that is too much for these ports.

Honestly, i tried Nights a while back and i really don't see what teh fuss is. Maybe it was sweet back in 96 when 3d graphics were brand-spanking new and everything but i can't say it's aged very well. At least in my opinon.

Looks pretty fucking hideous; the textures don't stand up well at all when stretched. Image 2 really hurts my eyes...

Glad I've got this on my Saturn, kinda makes it feel more worthwhile.

Yeah this is more like it. A one off gorgeous game even now. I'll likely stick with Saturn mode but the new visuals are a bonus. Took it's bloody time getting here though didn't it

A casual glance or brief time playing this doesn't reveal a whole lot as is the case with lots of games in fact. Certainly it's gained a lot of respect from fans that adore the gameplay and was until now a very valid reason to get a Saturn

mind you there are a definitely a few more very valid reasons for getting a Saturn but all the stuff bar Burning Rangers is on xbla now thankfully. oh apart from Panzer 2 and saga as well which i dearly hope arrives one day

Indeed... the same PS2 version that was NEVER released outside Japan... makes sense in a way that they would try to remake it... too bad it was not an HD remake... still hope people buy and play this game.

This would be perfect on the Vita, damn. Probably grab the PC version so its somewhat portable

About the game

What's up?
  • KORNdog
KORNdog there were FPS's on PS1 but i'm not sure any used twin analogue sticks the way they're used today? maybe i'm wrong. but i can't think of any. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog the "precision aim or automated" aiming in goldeneye/perfect dark/timesplitters where all kinds of backwards really look back. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: it's shit by todays standards. but nostalgia is powerful. timesplitters is my goldeneye. i look back it it very fondly. but i know deep down it's kinda garbage. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Some games do stand the test of time, others don't. To me Banjo-Kazooie is still tons of fun. Did not expect that. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker It's honestly pretty much the first time i saw people talking this negative about it..i thought everyone looked Goldeneye on N64. It's probably not too amazing now anymore tho. (1 Hour ago)
  • Ian_Nottingham
Ian_Nottingham @KORNdog: Shame i never finished that game,i wish it was on the vita...or is it? (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog god, the shatter soundtrack is still SO GOOD! (1 Hour ago)
