Not that i'm especially excited for either p-jack, tiger or Forrest Law but since i paly roger a bit i kinda want alex back too :P

That was quite a good trailer given how bizarre they were. And tbh, you're moaning now about them being rediculous? Jack (albeit not prototype) and Law have been around since the first game, alex since the second and Tiger.....well Eddy clone has been around since 3.

Ah prototype Jack, my favorite tekken character since 2. Pity he was so rarely in games. In any case, agree with Tekken being crap for years and adding another "funny boxing animal" to it only make things worse.

Adding? Alex was in Tekken 2. This is why people who don't know anything about franchises should sit and down in the corner and not speak unless spoken to. Tekken has ALWAYS had weird characters the first had a robot P. Jack, a bear Kuma I, a demon Devil Kazuya, and two really weird ninjas with Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu. That's always been the entire point of Tekken.

More like you haven't been good at Tekken for years. The game is awesome and tag combos look damn sweet.

Tekken is as good as it always was (aside from 4). And you probably are one of those guys who played T3 (or 5 or whatever) and you don't like even the slightest changes so every next Tekken is not good by default. Luckily your opinion doesn't really matter.

I didn't say it does. We're arguing for the sake of arguing. Tekken is good not because I said so, but because it still is one of the biggest and most respcted fighting games around.

Twistit any way you like but tekken has a great system for fighting, a big roster, good balance and at least some significant updates to every game. If that's not enough to call it a great i don't know what is.

KORN is jst butthurt that Tekken 6 went multi paltform. Otherwis you KNOW he'd be all like "tekken is the BEST!".

But you know, i agree that there are some sily characters in Tekken. SOME. maybe 4-5 or so depending on what yo call silly. Out of 40+ that's more than aceptable i think.

Your posts are unbelievably pathetic....Tekken hasn't been good in years he is right, all these new Tekken games have been just as bad as Tekken 4 on PS2. The series lost it's magic long time ago just like Ace Combat (another Namco series). But this might be good since TTT was a great game.

If anything Tekken got good with 5. People just don't know what tehy are talking about. You hear people praising TTT and 3 all the time, but compare them to T5 and 6 and they are complete jokes.

As for being the largest franchise, so far as i know tekken runs laps around the competition in terms of sales.

I can't explain why Tekken 4 and Tekken 5 aren't as good as Tekken Tag Tournament (the last Tekken game I really LOVED). I am not an "expert" in fighting games. I know they ruined the series by adding bullshit layered stages inspired by DOA, terrible super human characters who were a pain in the ass to fight with (like Dural from VF5 FS, I can't even beat him on easy), cutting down the roster and having few really great and balanced characters. Also, the games felt slow (to me) compared to TTT. BTW I am playing Virtua Fighter 5 Showdown on PS3 and I can't explain why it isn't as good as Tekken.

Maybe because it's more "hardcore" and "juggling" characters is impossible.

One final thing, I played the demo for Tekken 6 on PS3 and didn't like it at all (maybe it was the shitty characters in the demo).

Edit: I also HATED, the floor cracks & auto repair stuff they added in the new games. For those who don't know: if you characters is slammed on the floor, it cracks but the cracks magically disappear seconds later. I know it occurs due to RAM limitations but why did they even add that? It's so fucking annoying beyond words! @%@%@!#$%!@%@%(@^%!_(!_^(!_

Okay mate, but these are hardly valid reasons. TTT was a great game, but it was one of the most unbalanced Tekken games ever (I still played the shit out of that game). Layered stages work differently in Tekken. In DOA they're mainly for the spectacle, in Tekken they serve to prolong your combos. If you're talking about bosses, nobody cares about them, because versus is where it's at in fighting games. Also, Virtua Fighter has juggles, but characters don't "fly" as high as they do in Tekken and they're usually shorter. When it comes to Tekken's graphics, you can like them or hate them, but it's the gameplay that matters in the end and the Tekken series keeps nailing it.

So basically what you are saying is "It's not how i remembered it from 10 years ago and it has some graphical flaws!". Yeah, strong arumentation there. T6 is about as well balanced as any Tekken game, actually TTT is severely unblanaced. So long as you stay within the top tier list it's fine, but if you didn't pick one of the 10 most useful characters you are boned. That' how awesome TTT is. How does T5 or 6 have cut down rosters? They have like 40+ characters!

The cracks disappear the next time you slam someoe to the ground, there is only ever one instance of the "cracked" tiles on screen. If that kind of shit buggs you so much, don't even bother playing fighting games, play God of War or something instead that is catered to a solid single player experience with suitably epic stuff.

Also i think the world in gneral agrees that tekken 4 sucks major balls. 5 on the other hand was a great game in every way. Sure, there were balancing issues but all games have some.

The last Tekken I played was Tag Tournament back at the PS2's Japanese launch. I personally think - by looks alone - that they haven't really evolved much since, hence my lack of interest in them any more.
