Until the invasion can really begin in February 2013, here is a chance to discover a bit more about the making of Aliens: Colonial Marines. The team explains how important it was to them to respect the franchise and insists on the game's authenticity.

How can you get so much Alien vomit or blood or whatever in your face? (“Authenticity.” Yeah right.) BTW I don't think we have ever had a game which damages you with the Alien blood (with the exception of AvP from Capcom which is rather a projectile attack). I guess the gameplay will be really punishing, but somebody should just try it, like putting it in a hardcore mode.
TO each their own I guess!
I just hope this game is as scary as it is action-y
I think getting hurt by aliens blood is a must for alien game. Its too pussy, when it doesnt hurt You. It adds to the thrill of combat with those bastards.
BTW...I loved Prometheus movie. It was well done IMO.
Playable marine seems like another faceless nameless fps hero, like too many before him. I'd prefer to see someone like Hicks. Actually you know what? It shoulda been Hicks. Don't give me crap about Aliens 3, I wrote in my last comment that if they wanted to make a real and perfect sequel to Aliens, they shoulda ignored 3 like it never happened.
In any case, as a huge Aliens fan (as in second movie, don't like first and 4th much, absolitely hate 3d) I'm not really impressed. They look like they're pretending to be Aliens fans, but they aren't. Fans would have done it differently.
Thank you guys for the info and sorry for the rant based on my insufficient knowledge.

Also I really hate when people try to compare quality of other material like books, games, comics, to their latest incarnation.
If someone is making this game, I'd like them to take some liberties and be creative with it.
It's part of the reason why Nolan's Batman world is so cool. Because he handles it like any other writer would, and puts his own spin on it, doing something totally rad with it.
There's absolutely 0 sense of whether this is good or not yet
