WRC 3 goes to Portugal

This week, WRC 3 is taking us to sunny Portugal with a new full race. Once again, the choice of the external view is a bit of a shame, even more considering that the game features a cockpit view - which, we assume, means that more than 5% of WRC players use it. Maybe next time, but until then, here is a chance to see a new stage.

the game seems so guided... i remember some rally games where it was really hard to do a straith speeding, you'd always f- it up. here even the bumps give a small visual feedback, but it doesn't do jacks**t to the handling.

this is looking much better. and i saw something i wanted to see. the orange flimsy plastic barriers are no longer made of solid steel. the first game was good, but the tracks felt far too restricted becasue of invisible barriers, they seem more natural and open here. it's not an amazing looking game by any means. but it looks fun. and i've said it before, but i'm much more interested playing this then any codemasters racers.

This game has seriously got tons of praise off the ISR guys. Looking forward to it now.

Nice. But I would like to see it from the cockpit already.

None of physics! I insist! This is the level of the early 90s. Only with pixel shaders.

And yet McRae 2 as a rally sim is of a far higher standard than any of the current Dirt games and is a much, much better game.

no question, much better than Dirt, but not totally convinced/impressed yet

Colin McRae 1, 2 and even 3 are leagues beyond many of the current crop of "rally" games. The only console contender that bests Codemasters CM series is DICE's RalliSport Challenge 1 and 2. EDIT: I understand Richard Burns Rally was also no slouch.

RBR is regarded as the BEST rally game EVER made. I own it and would agree.

I heard it was quality. But I was unable to get my hands on a copy in Canada.

It never came to Canada. You have to import it and mod your xbox to play it.

Megido @droezelke: i just dont see the point in dividing referendums and general elections. An uninformed vote is an uninformed vote. (12 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Megido: Now we are actually coming to an interesting point: most people are ignorant on politics. Another reason not to have these kind of referendums. (46 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido @droezelke: You can read up on the EU as well, most people dont. Most people also vote like their parents did, or on a partys slogans rather than politics. This is the issue with democracy: idiots. (1 Hour ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Megido: well. You can read their election programs. But voting is more chosing a direction than 1 single issue. The Brexit vote was: yes or no. No nuance. The UK is divided in 2 camps now. (3 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido @droezelke: even worse. People vite on one single issue and get a whole package of unknown policy. (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @droezelke: Exactly. In my country, that decision is often made on propaganda and bigoted reasoning. (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Once again, foreigners are the ones making the big decisions of my island. Time for an all Ireland referendum. Scotland should follow. (5 Hours ago)
