HOPLESS
I'm very keen to see how the Vita version is as that is probably the version that I will get (mainly because my Vita has been neglected for the past few months due to lack of games and I'm dying for something decent to play on it!) if it is as good as it is claimed. Sadly no cross-buy on this one :P
Having owned WRC 2 and now played the WRC 3 demo (both PS3 versions), I have to say that this is a MASSIVE improvement over the previous game. WRC 2 looked like it was running upscaled 640 x 480 without anti-aliasing. It really looked awful! The cars seemed too rigid and appeared to float on the track. These graphics aren't as good as Dirt, but are more than adequate. The cars appear more planted on the road surface and the game provides a good challenge as the cars react and handle quite realistically.
The demo really surpised me. I love how fast, long and narrow the main demo track is. It really pressures you into driving smart. Handling felt less "whaffy" then dirt, visually it was nice, not even close to dirt though. Tracks no longer feel constricted and artificial, barriers bend and buckle when hit, tape barriers fall apart when hit. Front end still seems kind of amature-hour-ish, but Overall its a HUGE improvement. I rented WRC and enjoyed it despite its faults, didn't bother with the second since i knew it was largely the same game...this third entry however, i may just buy.
Unfortunately, my Logitech G25 just broke down irreversibly!! D:
I am considering getting a Fanatec Porsche 911 (the entry-level one) for budget reasons, and the G25 being nearly impossible to find, and I need it now!, I can't live without my rallying! XD
Can anyone tell me if it the Porsche 911 is compatible with WRC3 and if the sequential shifter can be mapped as a handbrake like I was able to do with the G25?
Is this wheel any good for rallying?
Thanks!! This is really important!
PS
I'm on a PS3.
Cezarr, WRC3 is more of a rally game than any of the Dirt episodes, and there actually is a physics engine mind you. You're fully allowed not to like it, it's no reason to troll though.
No trolling, man. It's my opinion. I had play demo.
