It is a shame they don't use the 3D grass all the time, not only during close-ups in replays. I remember the first FIFA on the 360, which had very long 3D grass all the time. The frame rate wasn't always good but it was decent nonetheless. So all these years later, why isn't it now possible to do the same but with better frame rate?

Def FIFA.. I think PES is rubbish, they completely screwed up the decent parts in the demo.

PES is back, baby! Back to 2003! Yep, they should just call it PES: Back to the Future edition, because that's exactly what it feels like and that is just not good enough by today's standards. Get Fifa instead.

Agreed with blmbox. Lack of physics is def. in PES, not FIFA.. It is really strange to see people still prefer PES over FIFA. I was an absolute big PES fan but since the 360 and PS3 there is no denying that this game is just horribly gone wrong.

One thing I have noticed is how the rivalry between the two has involved a couple of cheeky jabs this year, most notably from EA:

- PES has Ronaldo, the second best player in the world, on the cover; EA goes for Messi, former PES cover star and the best player in the world.
- Included on the FIFA 13 soundtrack is Kasabian's 'Club Foot', which is by no means a recent track. In fact in football terms it's most famous for being on the PES 5 soundtrack, which many (including myself) consider the greatest PES of all time.

I used to say 'greatest football game of all time' when referring to PES 5, but I think the latest FIFA titles may have just edged it. Anyway, I thought it was a little bit of cheeky gamesmanship on EA's part. I like it.

Correct. It's this thing the PES fanboys have: they call it "inertia" or my personal favourite "foot planting" or in this case, physics. What it actually is with PES is the illusion of gravity or weight caused by robotic animations and stiff, archaic controls. Simple as that, really.
