2013 release? yeah right. Late 2014 release at best.

Cinsidering their abysmal storytelling methods and gameplay philosophy of running down hallways it seems likely that they should be able to make a game in about two years (if we assume a holiday release 2013). Then again it's square, so who knows. And more to the point, who gives a fuck? Square stopped being awesome a LONG time ago. The only thing keeping them afloat now, imo, is the fact that they bought Eidos who have done a remarkable job of managing their IPs under Square leadership.

The only thing square has done to impress me in the last 5-6 years is the tech demo for their new engine. But i imagine that as we get closer to the next generation of hardware that will see some stiff competition as well.

My oh my,they should put all that money into a remake of FF7 or FF6 !

The lead in 12 was Vaan, though i'd argue that it's really about the other characters, but still. Guessing it's a typo.

Nah, i think they are saving the FF7 remake for when they really need it. They know that shit will sell a bazillion copies within 5 seconds of release, so why use it up while the other shit is still selling? :P

Or, though i seriously doubt this, they have some integrity and don't want to make another goddamn remake.

Am I the only one who actually enjoyed 13-2 (far more than i thought I would)? 13 was easily forgettable but I was looking forward to 13-3, although now that I've seen the trailer I'm a bit more sceptical.

lollol that would be too easy I guess but something about wanting to do it with the original creators and staff which in my mind makes no sense from a company like SE - gamers around the world don't care much who makes it - they just want the game made ... (but yes, made well would be the better statement)

Well here is one person that actually liked both FF13-1 and FF13-2 and I can not wait for the third one to come out. Sure, they are not exceptional titles but they were very enjoyable games nonetheless.
