GSY Review Xbox One

Forza Horizon 2 will be released in a few days now and time has come for you to see some HQ gameplay footage of the game. As usual, our full review is on the French side, but our verdict has been fully translated if you want to know what we think about the game. We'll add the last bit of the replay of yesterday's GSY Live this morning but unfortunately we lost the rest (so basically most of our stream) when my computer decided to shut down on its own without warning. That's what we call the Gamersyde effect.
Note: Today's videos and those which will be put up on Tuesday were all captured in sim mode and automatic gear using a controller.

Even though I like Destiny, I think there's more variety in terms of gameplay in FH2. Also, I was truly disappointed by Destiny's story, something that is to me very important even in a shooter. There is no such disappointment in Forza comparatively, though its lack of scale is celary an issue they need to sort out. I wouldn't mind seeing the addition of an extra map with DLC for once.

In the demo the day/night cycle went by pretty fast, too fast. Nights only lasted very briefly. How is that in the full game?

As for the map. Would you say it's the same size as FH, or smaller?

I'd say it's about the same size, with the possibility to now explore more off-road areas.

The day/night cycle seems fine but nights are shorter I think.

Quite surprised footage shows the game being played without the soundtrack. It was one of the glowing aspects of horizon 1 that fed into the burning man vibe it provided.

I don't think showing 1min30 edited extracts with music on would have served the soundtrack much.

Plus, personally, Id rather listen to the car engines. ;p

On Tuesday you'll get some with music on don't worry.

The graphics look good for the most part but it seems like a shallow game... I think that's the main problem with half-arcade, half-sim games like this and Driveclub. They lack the depth of sims like GT but also lack the craziness of games like MK. It's just a pretty looking but very boring medium.

car games all play pretty much the same the are only slight differences and its the graphics that mainly change, this looks good but then id be really worried if the xbox one was that crap that it couldn't make a basic car game look good, lets face it is the only type of game it could make look good lol

this wont be a system seller either and wont help Microsoft catch sony

And BTW this game looks fan-fucking-tastic. Like someone said earlier"PGR+RSC in one game" holy shit. Talk about a dream game.

I don't get a PGR vibe. I get a Midnight Club vibe but with slower action and no super abilities. Certainly looks better, but still seems sluggish. May be better hands on though, so I'll reserve judgement until it's in my hands. If nothing else, it's certainly some good eye candy.

Also, I could use another Midnight Club (Dub Edition Remix, not Los Angeles).

I did what I could for the replay video, but the replay system is terrible. Actually, that is also one of the things that shoulbd be considered a negative point.

That is weird. Even F1 games was not able to save replays. DC is also rumored not to have replay. That would suck, if true. Not sure how such common things devs are missing
