Images PC PS4 Xbox One Wii U Xbox 360 PS3

Because Gamersyde's activity is bound to slow down a bit in the days/weeks to come, we thought we would ask you to share your best in-game images of 2014. Christmas is usually the time when people take pictures to remember the good times, so why not do the same right here in the comment section? All you have to do is post the best screenshots you took when playing this year's games whatever the platform. If you like the idea and we get enough images, we'll make a special 2014 gallery with your best photos and we'll put it up on January 1, along with our best wishes for 2015. Here are a few screenshots we took in Los Santos (Grand Theft Auto V) to motivate you guys. Time to get to work, surprise us!

These are quite impressive. I've still not played GTA5 yet and will wait for the PC version, but I'm curious, is this some kind of photo mode that adds post effects and such? Because these shots look a lot better than the other screenshots I've seen of the game. This is not what the game looks like during gameplay is it?

It's the in-game camera, but apart from the focus and some filters (I haven't used any), there is nothing added to change the visuals. Not that I know of anyway.

If you want to see what actual gameplay looks like, check out our videos of the PS4 version. There is a depth of field effect when playing and it can look pretty realistic at times. :)

I recently played the PS4 version of the game, and I can tell you that the game looks stunning. In fact, it can look even better than those screenshots at certain times of the day. I spent about half an hour just standing on the pier at night watching the sun come up. You can see the early morning dew and fog in the distant city that is broken by the silhouette's of buildings and rays of light. It's genuinely breathtaking at times.

GTA V really managed to create a variety of realistic looking sceneries.
Can't wait until some of the "professional screenshot makers" get their hands on the PC version and generate panoramas with insane graphical settings and stuff like 8k downsampling.

Do you guys know if you have to have the depth of field effect on in the options to get it with the camera? I have it turned off because it makes the gameplay awkward at times, but the focus in the camera doesn't seem to do anything.

yea, that stuff will be insane...

It's also hard to imagine how good the next GTA will look as a true "next-gen" title...

You are right about that! As someone who put close to 100 hours into this game on last gen, I was a little nervous putting in another $60 for the current gen version, but damn am I glad I did! I don't think I've ever spent so much time just taking my time exploring a world and admiring the details.

For those who haven't gotten on board, I can say that the first person view is truly a game changer. The sense of speed and space are so much better. Before, it always felt like a chore driving to destinations, and it felt like the cars just weren't fast enough. Now that you are in the car and not looking down on it from behind, you get a true sense of speed and handling and it is fantastic.

Hard to believe, but this would be my game of the year 2 years running, and I'm sure if I had a PC that could do it justice, it might be 3 yrs. Kudos to Rockstar, these guys really know how to make an impressive game. My only complaint is that some of the combat seems REALLY hard in first person view. I'm trying to replay the entire game in FP, but even some of the early missions are a big struggle. Any suggestions on FPS settings for aim sensitivity, deadzone, acceleration etc? I may have to give up for some sections and go back to third person.

Oh yeah, amazing pics by the way Driftwood!

Yeah, they really nailed the feel of the two-wheeled and offroad vehicles in first person. This is honestly probably the best motorcycle/dirtbike/ATV simulator I've ever played. I think it is actually easier to handle these in first person than it was in third. I'm with you, I could spend all day on a dirt bike just nailing jumps and riding in the mountains.

Some Inquisition shots, some with the cinematic tools. The game is stunning at 4k.
