GSY Video PS4

It's a pretty busy day today. Because I was away on vacation last week I could only get our copy of Until Dawn this morning at the Post Office, which hasn't left me much time to play unfortunately. An hour and a half is all I have had time to see so far, but that should be enough to propose a few videos of the game anyway. Don't expect the slaughter fest to start though, as what I have seen is basically a long introductory sequence introducting us with the different characters. Still, you'll get a pretty good feel of the atmosphere.

One question: every time I see the gameplay of this game (most of them in HQ), I will always find some problem in smoothness

Not sure whether it's the framerate issue

There seems to be stutter or framedrop during cut-scene

Do you guys have these problems during playing?

We haven't played much like I said, but you're right, it's not always smooth, especially during cutscenes, but it's not especially annoying when playing. We'll make GSY Tech videos as soon as possible.

Actually, I'm a little disappoint of this gen right now
It is not as powerful as everyone said, lots of games have these kind of problems.

Hope we can have stable 30fps (and 60fps) for every new game from next yr to the end of 8th gen

Ill grab this tomorrow but again the frame rate is an issue.. bothers me way more than resolution and its becoming more obvious that PS4 cant do both.. Was the same with Everybodys Gone to the Rapture... great game.. absolutely shit frame rate at times.. didnt spoil it too much but a janky framerate dropping at the wrong moment sure does burst the immersive bubble... just lower the res and make it smooth ffs.. dont listen to the whiney 1080p kids!

Next year to the end of this gen. WTF. I am yet to buy the console. lol. PS3 had more problem last gen in first 2yrs. Most games are rushed and do not lack the polish. It is same every gen. But releasing a console early I do not think is good idea at all. This gen still has good 3-4yrs I reckon. There is no break though in tech I know off. At most we will be getting slightly better gfx with 60fps. Even lesser jump and no one will risk for 600$ console.

A big issue is the unlocked framerates. I tend not to notice the drops much as long as they remain above 30. But games like everybody's gone to the rapture could have done with a 30 lock option for those who wanted it. It never dropped below that so shouldn't be an issue implimenting it.

Plus side. Game is getting some great reviews.

If we will have next gen PS5, and if I'm right that it will be at least 5 times more powerful

Then I guess we may achieve our dream after 16 yrs (2005~2021)

That's only because of 1 brutal 4/10. Majority are giving it 8's. It's done incredibly well considering the developer and the genre.

Finally, a AAA QTE game with good reviews. I'm really happy about this because i was worried after the bashing the order and beyond 2 souls got that we wouldn't get these types of games from AAA studios anymore. I personally really enjoy games like this. Its a nice change of pace from all the open world games lately.

Now This particular title i've been wanting to see more about, and know more on it. I also have a friend picking this title up, he likes these types of games. I don't mind them either.

Well anyways After seeing as much as I can on this, it does feel like scares on a tight leash. Anything could happen in the woods but they just don't. Not unless an event is triggered.

Story wise They say it's like cabin in the woods. cabin in the woods started out like an average flick and then went sideways really, really fast introducing demons and concoctions you would find in silent hill. This seems to be cabin in the woods in some places like characters and situations. The reviews aren't going too bad for it.

It's kinda ironic though that a cliche movie could actually translate to a pretty decent title. had this title been converted in reverse it would have been something that not too many people would have paid to go see. A lot of horror/Thriller movie buffs like my self pay a lot to see an old genre done better. It's been awhile seeing my money's worth back in return.

No What i mentioned is that this game felt more like a thriller in the first place. That was the first sentence in my comment. Now that the game is out people say it's similar to cabin in the woods. .....cabin in the woods is thriller, well thriller/mystery. Maybe are regions recognize them differently. I believe Europe associates Horror/Thriller as one in the same whereas western territories associates them as two sides of the same coin, with a defined line distinguishing the two.

I'd still give it a month for prices to come down with this. Get it Halloween, for a not so offensive laugh. Unless you really desire a badly acted/written HORROR film mixed with QTE's... apparently it loses its way a lot second half too.

It is better to wait for tech to evolve. SSD and powerful but less consuming chips needs to be affordable. Obviously they will be researching on it for it to release after 4yrs or so. I am still on PS3 because there is nothing on PS4 to encourage me to buy it now. Still got lot of games on PS3 and the gfx are fine.

My thoughts are quite simple
PS4 has the games I would like to play such as uncharted4, bloodborne, persona5 and games like these

And meanwhile, the same game on PS4 is way better than on PS3

Yes i think this is a bargain bucket game unfortunately or pick it up on Ebay after a month or two! Sony just cannot seem to recreate this style of game as good as Heavy Rain.

I watched Gamespot stream this last night and im shocked at how fun it looks. Will definitely pick this up when its $30

It's entertaining, but not really scary. I was playing this with my friend today. It's worth picking up at a cheaper price. Anyway, The whole game is setup around choices. the problem with that is how do you fear your own choices if you're one who's deciding them.... of course on your next playthrough you'll know to pick opposite options, or alternating ones to alter the experience. Either way you decide how everything plays out.

Just to let everyone remember, The whole purpose of a horror movie is to be left in the dark, not just literally but also metaphorically.

i finally got a chance to pull the strings myself. There are some jump scares in the game but the ultimate decisions are left in your hands to execute in any order you want.
