Yessss. Finished FFXV on Monday, now with this in March and Mass Effect some time after, then the long unknown road to Scalebound my action/rpg itch is finally being scratched tremendously.

Looking forward to downloading this on Dec 22nd.

Is there any word on a PC version of the demo?

Final Fantasy? I rather love it from a gameplay stand point. But the campaign part of it felt like something from early last generation, things just happened with little to no reason other than to just exist (chapter 13 was particularly infuriating).

Final Fantasy also represents a problem I have had with Japanese media for some time now (particularly anime) and that is they lay on the angst kind of thick and with no remorse. Even the tiniest decision has to somehow bear the wait of the world on it, and for 90% of the campaign I kept saying to myself "It's just not that serious."

To summarize: I guess if you're in it for the long haul, there is actually quite a bit to grind to get ready for super bosses and much harder dungeons as the game starts dropping level 99 bosses in the open world and you have to overcome these to unlock some of the best equipment in the game, but if you have 30 hours to spare and want something to tide you over narratively and set-piece wise? Final Fantasy XV is definitely not worth it.

How did you guys feel about it?

feel free to ad another 30 hours to your life schedule to replay the game, as the devs are making a update with new cutscenes, characters and crap to try to fix the mess that is FFXV storytelling. Sorry you pre-ordered.

A Patch to fix bad writers. great, scott.

if you didn't care for the story a bit, then fine. but the idea that someone that liked it, but was dissapointed by the the way the mess the narrative... and needs to play again, its sad the current state of "updates" gamers have to go trough. Its not a remaster, the the same releas, not even a month after release.

I'm almost certain the story update will come with a new game plus. The way they've set it up almost guarantees that this was the only way they could ship the game without adding more development time, then just piece meal the rest of it.

As sad as it is, I think Square Enix are beginning to understand that this is the nature of the industry and the only way they'll make more money, which is probably the main reason Tabata was brought in.

Yes but Tiz is talking from experience of actually playing the game.

"but the idea that someone that liked it, but was dissapointed by the the way the mess the narrative..."
which doesn't even affect you since you would have to have bought the game and put in the hours Tiz has to feel that kind of disappointment. Its kind of hilarious the way you are trying to tell somebody how THEY should feel from THEIR experience when you haven't even played the game.
And even then, maybe fans of the game will be delighted with new content and will use that as their excuse for playthrough number 2. Not everyone has a broken record trolly personality like you.

The fact you have to say "looks" is a poor sign. P* makes amazing action games.

seeing as i've not played THIS game, what else am i going to say? i can't imagine anyone here can flat out say this game is good or bad yet seeing as no-ones played it.

and i'd argue they were very hit and miss with their output, unless you REALLY liked TMNT, and transformers?

Most of their budget titles have been pretty well received but I guess their budget games are a little hit or miss.

I struggle to understand how someone could think that NieR is the only good Platinum game.

I wasn't referring to this game. When you said "looks" I felt it implied you hadn't played any of their previous output. But beyond that, the fact the only games you mentioned were their Activision published budget games is once again a poor sign of where you are coming from.

I'm fine with it. Just means they're prioritizing performance as usual.

Well I always hope Platinum should work with some tech guys

What if Sony fund a project which is done by GG(killzone) and Platinum?
That would be awsome in both graphic and gameplay
