the only thing that irks me the wrong way is how disgusting the "take" on the mechanical animals is. So so much Bayformers at its core, and the shi-tier design that phony ass creep tried to erase the true transformers visuals, makes me insta-hate on it.

The brontossaurus mech is still freaking incredible to look at.

I don't know if it's the art style, the assets or what but to me this game just doesn't look good (honestly not trolling).

Incredible game engine like nothing else. Lets hope it ends up amazing and they turn it into an even bigger franchise. Only a few more weeks to gold status :)

the world tech is stitched in a end result that comes off as a bad look. it has all the animation and stuff to give it form and signs of life but still pass as a MMOish type of world.

Something like Xenoblade looks way better, but is a couple notches down on the tech stuff (Monolith tech still is a best for the hardware it runs).

It looks and moves better that the witcher 3, which already looks amazing for an open world game. I'm not sure what you're expecting here, but there are very few, if any open world games that look this nice.

I don't find Guerilla a very great developer when it comes to actual gameplay. Never thought much of killzone. 2 was ok, 3 i enjoyed quite a bit. Shadow Fall? Yeah....nah. But this might change that.

Shot number 6 was the first Ive seen(or at least remember seeing) at night. The dark, with the forest setting and that bug like robocreature just lend themselves to an amazing atmosphere. I imagine, and Im hoping, that the sunset/ night times in the game have that King Kong giant insect scene feel to them.

The post apocalyptic, overgrown nature look to this game should be amazing! Especially if we see signs for Los Angeles or New York in the midst. Being able to explore landmarks that nature has reclaimed with these machines running around, should make the game feel like a King Kong/ I Am Legend/ Transformers movie mix, with a little Indian like history lesson/ lore thrown in.

To me, it looks incredible and is tops on my list of most wanted for 2017.

gameplay is fine, its more "engaging" gameplay and good level-design.

They make decent MP sections.

Does anyone know anything more about the gameplay other than hunting?
no one really knows what the "foe" really is. Think Princess Mononoke before ashitaka is cast out.

All we know of the story so far is that Aloy was shunned at birth from her tribe for something related to her mother. The whole game is basically a quest to find why and hunting and analyzing the machines is one of the primary way to do that. They also said that her personal story is heavily related to the larger mysteries in the world like who made these machines?, for what purpose? and why do they resemble real animals?, why did the world went back to tribalism?, what is this corruption that makes the machines hostile even to each other? Its a really interesting premise but is all gonna depend on how good the execution is. I do respect them for not spoiling the whole game before its even out
